Have you moved your little one? If not, what are your plans? Did you do character bedding or plan too?
DD is still in her crib which she is starting to not get excited about going in. We also have a twin bed that is on the floor in her room that we read books on and she is starting to not want to leave to go in her crib. I was thinking about switching her after her bday but I'm not sure if we'll convert her crib first and then move her to her twin or if we'll just move her to her twin bed right away.

Re: Big Kid Bed???
We're moving Dylan this summer. He's already climbed out a couple weeks ago.
we're Renoing his big boy room because its huge and he'll be sharing it with his big brother. I'm going with a Super Hero theme from PBK.
We moved our DD to her toddler bed over a month ago now. It went smooth as silk, she loves it, and sleeps just as well in it as in her crib. She also still doesn't realize that she can get out on her own (although she climbs out when we go in to get her), so she just sings to herself and waits until we come in the room. And it's awesome because she is so heavy we were having a hard time lifting her into the crib, so now she climbs in and out herself - perfect!
As far as bedding, I hate character everything, so we got a cute hippo pattern from Dwell Studios. I will refrain from character stuff as long as possible!

I feel like the only person on the planet that is no rush to move my kid..lol.
She still loves her crib, asks to go in it, plays in it just fine etc. She's happy, I'm happy.
I'm also waiting because she's going to straight to a full size bed (it's what we have. I'm not buying another). She slept with me on a roadtrip for a few days this past week and did well, but she was all over the bed. In the middle, lengthwise up by the headboard, kiddy-corner to the end etc. I don't trust her just quite yet.
We'll re-evaluate after her 2nd birthday in July, but otherwise we're TTC again, so whenever the new baby arrives, I'll work on it then.
I have no plans for character bedding, but if she happens to fall in love with something (she loves to shop and notices everything) whatever. She has a polkadot room right now, so I'm thinking stripes or a plaid.
I'm right there with you!
There is no way I'm taking her out of the crib until she learns how to get herself out of it and I have no other choice.
I do know that when the time comes I plan on just taking off the front rail on her crib and leaving it as a day bed for a while. I ordered a bedding set (sheets and comforter) last Black fri. It's pink with owls. Waiting in the closet for when she needs it.

No, I would keep him in his crib until he was 16 if I could lol. However, he is super tall and we are having another baby in August, so there is no point in buying a second crib when DS is getting so big anyways. He learned how to climb out of his crib recently, and we have already ordered a twin anyways to arrive in July. Since he now knows how to get out of the crib, but doesn't anyways, I am hoping this is a good sign of when we put him into the bed... however, once we take away the paci that's another story.
As for a theme, I went with sports, since that will grow with him. I'm not a big character fan myself. For a girl I'd do something cute but that would grow along with them.
