Need advice

I see this board gets a lot of "may be joining you soon" posts but as I sit here a

2 am because he is stretching his wing I need to know what kinds of thing are a must in your divorce and custody paperwork.

We are becoming a blended family to a single parent family so I know a little about custody paperwork. I just don't want to miss anything and understand the need to have everything in black and white. My daughter is 2 and I want to make sure I get full physical custody and feel she is to young to really spend a lot of time a way from me.

Re: Need advice

  • Get a lawyer!!!! Make sure this is not their first case. Be specific. As specific as you can. All details need to be stated. If its not clear it will be interpreted. Keep calm and don't overreact in public. Lol

  • I second talk to a lawyer. My divorce was amicable...well it was amicable because I accepted I couldn't kill him, but we didn't fight it out and we split custody on our then 2 year old. It ended up with me having him about 65 percent of the time but I wish I had tried to get full custody. At the time I thought not fighting was best, but I think he would have done better with one stable home.
