Addison Adell was born at 1:36 pm. 6 lbs 14 oz.

Short version: After a very long and hard 12 hour labor, she made her entrance into the world.

Long version: woke up at 11:30 pm to go to the bathroom. Had one strong contraction and my bloody show. Went back to sleep. Awoke again at 1:30. Contractions were approximately 8 minutes apart. They quickly moved to 5 minutes apart so after 2 hours, we headed in.

By the time they checked me in, Contractions were 1 to 3 minutes apart but I was only dilated to a 3/4 cm. I was 3cm on Wed at ob visit. After an hour I was 4/5, then I was a hard 6. At that point contractions were one on top of each other, I was nauseous and on the verge of passing out multiple times.

After 3 hours of that, I was terrified I wouldn't have the strength for pushing so I opted for the epidural. Within 45 min it was time to push. Pushed for 30 minutes. No tearing or episiotomy. She latched perfectly immediately after birth.
