August 2011 Moms

Done.

It is not even noon and we have missed church, missed a playdate, got a call from a creditor because the hospital where Lincoln had his surgery didn't send them our financial aid approval so they thought I was just not paying the bill. Went to pay the creditor and discovered my wallet was missing. Praise baby Jesus Walmart had my wallet and it was intact but I still had to drive two towns over to retrieve it.

There is a funeral at my church tomorrow and I have not done a single thing to prepare for the food. Dh has softball tonight so I will be cooking at, like, midnight. Sunday is a potluck dinner so I need to figure out food for that, too.

I am so burned out. I thought it was FRIDAY?!? A

Feel free to commiserate with your own schtuff.

Re: Done.

  • I'm having one of those days too!

It all started at 2 am when all our smoke detectors went off for no reason. We got both kids back to sleep but I couldn't fall asleep because DS2 was sleeping on top of me in 90 degree weather.

DH alarm goes off at 5:30 so I fed DS2 but he wouldn't fall right back to sleep. It probably took 45 mins then DS1 was up for the day at 7.

DS1 has been a handful, to put it nicely. A lot of chasing around the house and NO NO NOs.

I had to pick my dad up at MGH  because he had a heart procedure done and my mom won't drive into the city. I haven't even had time to worry about it, btw.  I was gone for two hours so my mom had to feed DS2 pumped milk. My boobs hurt so much when I got home so I thought I could pump when DS1 took nap. Well, he refused to nap in his crib. I now have two kids sleeping on me in my bed in 90 degree heat again. I'm starving, thirsty and need to pump or have DS2 eat!

Oh and DH isn't coming home tonight until after midnight and he's letting his friend stay the night in our sh!t pit house! I need to clean!! I seriously have no time

tonight might be the night I have a drink for the first time in three years!!

  • Rough day! Could you just do a double batch of something for the funeral and the potluck so you don't have to cook twice?

Unfortunately I'm signed up for all random stuff. Good idea, though.

crockpot salsa chicken is super easy and is a big hit in my house. It's only three things - chicken, salsa and taco seasoning - thrown into the pot for 6 hours.  I add corn and black beans but you don't have too.

  • I'm sorry the two of you had such a rough day.

Here's to hoping tomorrow goes better
