Hello everyone,
Ok, so my ds is ff and poops every 3 days (doc says is ok). However, he hasn't pooped since monday or maybe sunday except for a very hard little piece of poop 2 days ago. Doc said to give him some apple juice diluted and a suppository. I bough a pediatric suppository and gave him 1/4 of it and it immediately melted and he tried to poop for like 5 minutes and couldn't. That was an hour ago. What would you do now?
Oh and i got him to drink about 1-2 oz of the apple juice/h2o right before the suppository. any suggestions?
Re: Pediatric Suppositories
When I had to do it with DD1, I hardly had enough time to move my hand, the poo was just flowing. It should definitely work within the hour. Call your pedi.
Try bicycling his legs up near his belly and/or rubbing his belly is downward, clockwise circles.
Personally, I'd probably massage his belly for a while, bicycle his legs and bend him at the waist for a while and then try another quarter of the suppository.
