My mom called to say

I swear, if it weren't my mom's birthday yesterday and I hadn't called home, no one would've bothered to tell me my dad was rushed to the ER the day before with an aneurism. Today my mom called to update me - my dad has a hole in his heart, and oh by the way, so does my uncle, one of my cousins has had three massive heart attacks, and my granny has heart disease. Apparently there ARE heart problems in my family! Gee, it would've been nice to know this a while back so I could tell my OB! We have our A/S in two weeks, so now I'm concerned. Will everything be okay with the baby? Am I okay? Is my dd okay? Geez...

    Yikes that is scary. I hope everyone is ok. I just found out last year that I have a congenital (and degenerative) heart defect. 28 years of having symptoms but no doctor ever bothered to check. That also brings my congenital, degenerative defects (the other is hip dysplasia) to 2! Fun times.

    My parent's do this too.  It's like "Oh didn't I tell you that?" "Uh no"
