multi vitamin w.flouride

our dr recommends the drops but DS hates taking them.  They taste gross.  What kind do you give your LO?

    We do the drops, they do taste disgusting! DD takes them amazingly well. With DS we had to put it in his milk or juice to get him to take it.

    Isn't ingesting flouride at this age bad?
    Toothpaste w/flouride = bad for their teeth.
    I'm confused.

    It's actually good for their teeth. My ped is only having a do drops because we don't have flouride in our drinking water, some areas already do.

    But I thought the flouride in adult tooth paste caused white spots in their adult teeth when swallowed, which is why we're not supposed to use it until they can spit?
    Sorry if I sound totally naive
    I'm just a bit confused.
    Is it that the concentration of flouride in tooth paste is higher than the vitamins/water?

    Those white spots are actually caused by an uneven distribution of calcium.

    I put the drops in Aria's milk. I know she'll always down the bedtime bottle, and she doesn't even seem to notice the drops in it.

    I have no idea what we'll do when she weans though. [which hopefully will be soon, now that I'm a SAHM and can really work on it!]
