Seriously. Do they not believe that we get pregnant too? I'm not even THAT big. I wear around an 18.
Our closest local Motherhood Maternity store closed recently, and our Old Navy also stopped selling maternity clothes, so we went to Sears to check out their maternity section.
Ok, seriously, normally an XL at any other store would be, say this ( ) big.
At Sears? Their XL's are like ( ). I kept looking at the pant sizes like, "really? this is XL? How is that possible? My thigh hasn't been that small since jr high."
So, I guess it's the interwebz for me.
Ugh! I hate not being able to try on clothes before I buy them.

I am a size 14 pre pregnancy and an XL in maternity. Last time around I was able to find affordable and decent fitting clothes at JCPenney. Pea in the Pod doesn't even have an XL which is annoying. I found most of my stuff at Motherhood and some tops at Target. I also managed to find stuff online via Destination Maternity, Amazon and Ingrid and Isabel.
I did a little research into this. The manufacturers say it's because plus size women just prefer to buy a couple sizes bigger when they're pregnant, that the fit is better. I call BS! I'm about the same size as you, and with my last pregnancy I found some XL that fit and I bought some plus size clothing. The regular clothing never fit right, one pair of pants was always falling down! If it fits in the waist, then the thighs are super baggy.
Sorry for the rant, no real suggestions for you, other than try online. Just know that you are not alone!
I'm a size 22. I would prefer pregnancy clothing for my pregnancy. I don't want baggy mumus. I want cute pg clothes that make me look pg not fatter. Grrrr.
I added in my email that they should have the same items available in plus as they do in 2 to 12. And considering most American are larger sizes, I don't know why they can't market to that population.
