Timing: Since I have been a little negligent with my temps, just tried to have some fun every other night. Did get one smiley face on my OPK last Tuesday.
Testing Plans: Not until a missed period shows up sometime.
Phantom Symptoms: Abdominal cramping and my nipples have been extremely sensitive the last two days. It sucks to wear a shirt L I am passing this off as signs of AF maybe peeking in soon.
Thoughts/rants: We are remodeling any the house is a disaster area, mud everywhere, paint all over the carpet. I am ready to be done and we just started. It smells and is gross to be in the house.

GTKY: Did you change your last name when you got married? Why or why not? No I didn't. I don't really have a good reason for not doing it, just that I never thought of good reason to change it. I like my last name and I don't want to change it anymore than I'd change my first. I don't mind if people call me Mrs. DH though.
GTKY: Did you change your last name when you got married? Why or why not? I got married in January and am in the process of changing my name. Just need to finish filling out the forms. I am because I want the same last name as my children. I'm a teacher and sometimes it gets confusing with so many different last names in a family.

Thoughts rants etc: I'm just happy to see my temp up well above coverline today. The past 3 days were hovering too close for comfort.
GTKY: Did you change your last name when you got married? Why or why not? Oh yeah! I was previously married, and my DD has that last name. When we split, I went back to my maiden name. When I married DH, I did not want to have 3 different last names in our household, and wanted us to really feel united. Plus, I thought it would be insulting that I had taken my ex's name, but wouldn't take his. Not cool.

I did change my name. Prior to marriage, I had a hyphenated last name that was already pretty long. Changing it to DH's last name was just easier.

DH did not care if I changed my name and I like my last name :-) Also from a career standpoint, I have always been known professionally by my maiden name and I wouldn't want to change it at this point. I may feel differently once we have children but right now I'm sticking with it.

Yep - I feel like it's just easier to have the same last name, and since my DS is an only child and pretty much the only one to carry on his last name it just makes sense. I also would hate if my kids had a different last name than me.
ETA: At work, I officially changed my name, but my maiden name is still attached to my email/etc so people can find me by my maiden name still as well.

Phantom Symptoms: I have a few new breakouts from 2-3 days ago. My BBT rose a bit higher today (let's hope it stays that way). I woke up with a weird feeling in my tummy... I can't tell yet if it is pre-AF cramps or nausea. It has been mild, so hopefully it is nothing, but you know how the mind games go.
Thoughts rants etc: I've always had a shorter LP (10-13 days), but am wondering if the meds will make it longer this time. Probably will just for added drama. The cycle wouldn't be complete without a few new twists to obsess over, lol! But in all seriousness, I'm doing my best to stay distracted and positive. I'm doing a pretty good job of it this time around!
GTKY: Did you change your last name when you got married? Why or why not? Yes, I'm traditional like that. I didn't even know it was an option to keep your name until I was older. I grew up thinking it was automatic, lol. Like, "I now pronounce you husband and wife," and ::poof:: your name changed. Haha!

GTKY: Did you change your last name when you got married? Why or why not? Yes, I guess i just like tradition but I did miss my Maiden name. I pictured how my name would sound all my life as a Doctor but never pictured changing my name (i never pretended/dreamt of getting married until the day he proposed) so it really was a big decision when it came down to it.

Thoughts rants etc: I got my highest temp I've ever had this morning so that pair with my other new symptoms convinced me to test. BFN of course but now I already feel like I'm out even though it's still early. This is why I stopped testing about 5 months ago.

Yes, because it was Important to DH. I'm a teacher and it's kinda hard for the kids to transition as well as me. I also really love my maiden name because it's unique, although hard to spell. My married name is sooo common which bugs me a bit.

Timing: Good IUI after bloodworking showing LH surge
Testing plans: No clue, according to my own tracking AF supposed to show up 6/8 but I know that Clomid can make cycles longer than normal. This is the first cycle on Clomid that I was finally able to get the IUI done. So I can test on 6/8 but I think I would be setting myself up for a let down.
Phantom symptoms: I have been super crampy and bloated since IUI, its hard to not to look at it for pg symptoms, but I keep telling myself to slow down and realize that I just had the IUI and cramping goes along with that.
Thoughts rants ect: nothing
GTKY: I decided to change my last name. I am in a same sex marriage and our deal was that I was going to carry our children she doesnt want to (she will if she has too but we both hope it works out for me to carry) So with me being "Bio" mom we wanted our children to have her last name and I wanted to have the same last name as my children.

New Plan: Reciprocal IVF, me as carrier wife's eggs. Just went through insurance and received partial approval, so my part will go through my IVF benefits and wife's part will be out of pocket. Now just finalizing finance plans to cover the oop costs. Doctors office is in process of moving to a new building so there are no IVF start ups until March/April 2015.

Thoughts rants etc: my temps have been dropping since "O". I was just told this week I have mild pcos, so now I'm worried I may not have actually O'd at all. I put in dummy temps for 2 more days and it turns my CH to dotted lines.... Just feeling frustrated. This is my first cycle temping so at least I have a remote idea of what's going on. It was important to him, and I didn't care too much one way or the other so I did.
