Happy Friday! Plans for the w/e?

Happy Friday ladies! This week kind of flew by b/c of holiday Monday. Hope you had a good week.

First off, congrats x 2 to Dragonfly to the birth of her twins! And a big welcome + re-welcome to Meagan618, Mrs.Umm, and wordslikewords.

T&Ps to those who need them, esp the ones who got bad news/BFNs this week.

GL to the ladies TTCing or awaiting lab results.

And sending good sleep vibes to those LOs who are struggling with a good night's sleep or having to be transitioned to their cribs.

What are your plans for the first weekend in June (can't believe it's June already)? Hope you are all doing something fun; or get to relax as a family? Safe travels to anyone who is traveling!

What are your plans for the first weekend in June (can't believe it's June already)?

Tonight we are going to a Scottish open house in our city. Good food, highland dancing and a bagpipe band. Looking forward to it!

Saturday I have an ice cream tasting with my friend who is getting married. I'm her Matron of Honour and she is having Marble Slab at her wedding, she invited me along to the taste testing! YUM!

I'm also having a lingerie shower for said bride Saturday evening. It's a beach theme (cuz they are going to Jamaica for their honeymoon). I made homemade ice cream for the shower. It's gonna be fun.

On a sad note, my hubby is going to visit a friend overnight on Saturday. It's my first night alone with just Hannah. I'm sure I'll make it through okay. I just really like having him around.

Sunday we have a family picnic after church. My uncle is visiting from B.C. so we wanted a get together. Then I have a potluck dinner with friends of ours in the evening. A weekend of good food!

What a fun weekend! I'm dairy free for E still, but would kill for a marble slab ice cream tasting! GL on your first night alone with Hannah. It'll be fine. Just make things easy for yourself... maybe order dinner in or get takeout and just enjoy your girls night.

Thanks for the good sleep vibes! I think things are going pretty well. She's still waking up twice a night and standing up, so we're unsure what to do about that. We are currently taking turns going in, laying her back down, reminding her that it's sleep time, and we love her, then leaving. So far that is working, but I worry that we're teaching her that if she stands up, we'll come. I just don't picture her laying back down on her own.

No special plans for the weekend. Some friends are in town for the weekend so we are going to BBQ tomorrow. Other than that we just need to catch up on laundry and house cleaning, since we were so busy last weekend and will be OOT next weekend.

I want a low key weekend, this was my first week back to work and it's been exhausting. Pretty sure my kids have lost their ever loving minds!

The only thing planned is H's 3 months pictures Sunday afternoon. Other than that, lots of cuddle/play time with H since he's just been sleeping every evening after I get him from daycare.

We've got a first birthday party tomorrow.... Then DHs co-worker is also having a party, since that one is not kid friendly hell stop for a while and me and LO will hang out!

Sunday morning we are walking in the Autism Speaks fundraising walk....

in btwn all of this DH thinks we are going to go swimming. He thinks LO can sleep in her carrier in the shade. Ummmm... Yeah right. This plan would probably work if it was going to be in the 70s, but with 90 degree weather LO is never going to tolerate it! Still, I need to let DH see this so we will try it!

If she seems OK when she wakes up I wouldn't go in. J often wakes up, plays around, and then goes back to sleep. We don't keep anything in her crib so she just stands and walks along the perimeter, babbling and singing. After awhile she lays back down and goes back to sleep.

Of course not, she's screaming and jumping while holding onto the rails. I've thought about just waiting to see what she does, but I'm so scared of her jumping/climbing out somehow. I realize this is unlikely, but it's my biggest fear. And of course, she gets right into the corner where the video monitor doesn't reach.

We are having some friends over tomorrow to meet L. My mom is also coming up for the weekend so H and I may try to grab a bite to eat or see a movie. Sunday will be church, more visitors and maybe a trip to the park if everyone is up for it.

Well, since I do my IVF monitoring in a town that's a 1.5 hr drive each way, my weekend will consist of a lot of driving!

But, there's a big art show this weekend that DH and I love to go to, so we'll try and fit that in, too. I am very much looking forward to our vacation in July and just getting through this treatment. It is not fun.

Saturday we are having another birthday party for my baby boy!!! And I don't know about Sunday ... probably cleaning up and just spending time as a family, doing yardwork, the usual.

Can't believe it's June and that S is 6 weeks today. She's growing way too fast!

DH is off on Fridays so we're headed out to eat and walk around the mall with LO. It's our first real outing as a family that's not to our parents house or the doctor. Hopefully she'll be a little angel!

Tomorrow we'll probably go visit his parents or a friend from out of town may be coming down to stay with us. Sunday will be her first trip to church.

I'm really excited bc her birth announcements came in today and are adorable. Ordered them from Min.ted.com and love the thick paper they use and all the different options they have. I may use them for my Christmas cards too...

Wow June! MIL leaves tomorrow. I'm super bummed because DH is traveling again next week (he was gone last week and this week). I'm considering moving in with my parents while he is gone. My business is super busy and I'm not sleeping enough. Plus my poor pooch doesn't get enough attention when DH is gone.

However, this weekend should be nice. We had Sunday lunch plans, but they cancelled. We are buying flooring and trying to get the final part of this renovation lined up. I have sleep on my agenda.

Having my brother and SIL over for dinner. They have a 120lb 1-year old Great Pyrenees who will be joining us! My little wheaten just loves playtime with him!

Tomorrow we are Opening our pool and on Sunday we are going to see a few condos. DH is getting into investment properties. He told me he wants to purchase a property with each child, put it under a 20 year mortgage, and sell it when they are18 to pay for college. I was in awe that he had thought that far ahead. He's amazing!

Wow, looks like all of you have lots of fun things planned!

I took M to an open play this morning - got to see a bunch of "new moms" whom I met months ago but haven't seen recently. So great to catch up AND see how much their LOs have grown!!! My goodness.

But because of that, M's nap schedule was messed up so he's not been a happy camper. Hope this afternoon nap will get him back to his normal happy baseline.

Finally a low-key weekend for us. We're going convertible car seat shopping this weekend. Then we'll be home baby-proofing. That's about it!
