I did and many of my Facebook friends do too. Imo I don't think it's TMI and its just a way of sharing your excitement about how close the baby is to being here. If it bothers you then you should just hide her posts until she has the baby.

Sharing how dilated your CERVIX is isnt TMI? Then what is TMI? "Ughhhh my butthole really hurts with these hemoroids!". "Took my first pospartum *** 5 days later...not bad!".
Seems like people have no sense of privacy and want to splash their shitt all over. Newsflash: No on cares as much about your cervix as you do. If there are people who do, text them.
HILARIOUS! I think it's TMI. You can simply say you're at the hospital about to deliver. No need to get into specifics.
I did update my fb with things like that but it was because we had a lot of friends and family interested and if I updated fb it kept people from coming or calling.
LOL, my sister-in-law did. But then she's the type that will post anything on FB. She put the birth of her first on FB before telling any of us (who were waiting in the waiting room just down the hall). Let me tell you how upsetting that is. Very.
A guy work works with my husband posted stuff like that about his wife when she was giving birth. I told my husband I would punch him in the throat if he even thought about sharing the state of my cervix with anyone. There are things people don't need to know.
Not something I would ever do... I think it bugs me more honestly, though when I see new moms on FB all the time. I just feel like they should have something better to do.
Um, what? Posting online was one of the few things I could do one handed while I breasted all.day.long. I barely left the house for the first 3 months. What should they be doing?
Baby boy H is here! Born 2/1/2014

Really? Im pretty sure if I had a giant person making dumb faces and weird noises at me all day I would get a little cranky. Albeit rare, they do sleep as well.
My husband posted things like "1/2 way done" and "almost there." Honestly when people post them, it doesnt bother me. I would never do it myself though.

Duh, you are suppose to end your social life the minute your kid pops out/gets pulled out. Didn't you know your life now revolves around a kid and not you?
I can't get over the people who cease to exist once a baby comes along. People always said we should travel before kids, sleep in, have fun, etc. We have done more traveling WITH a child than without. It makes it more enjoyable. I mean, who doesn't like hearing "are we there yet?" a million times.

Well aren't you clueless.

I didn't post anything about going into labor or anything. I posted a picture of my baby and that he was born the night before the next day. I got a lot of surprised people on fb. That was way cooler than having people waiting lol.
Although, my SIL did post that I was in labor....not as a status, but as a comment on one of my MIL's pictures. Pretty inappropriate.

I agree completely. It bugs me in general when people post their every move on facebook; definitely the reason I don't have a facebook page.
