Baby Tub Question

I over-registered and now we have more stuff than I think we need.

We received a Puj tub and also this tub:

Are both necessary? Would you return one of them, and if so, which?

Thanks all. It's been a decade since our son was a baby, and back then I don't even remember seeing anything like the Puj. We just had an old school plastic tub.

Re: Baby Tub Question

  • Personally I think the first years one in all that you need. I like that it has the sling for a brand new baby as well as the anti-slip foam for a wiggly bigger baby. We used both. I think the puj looks like it would only work for a very short time and the cost makes it seem silly to me.

I have a puj and eurobath by primo. I much prefer the eurobath. The puj never worked right in any of my sinks and I found it hard to use. I am going to sell it. I don't know about your other tub but our eurobath is the best and she fit in it right away and I can tell it will last a very long time.

  • I have both of those tubs.  The Puj is great for the tiny newborn stage, but totally not necessary to have both.  I got it for $10 at Target on clearance.

  • Thanks everyone! I'll probably exchange the Puj, because it sounds like the other tub will be good enough.

I'm totally not trying to hijack your thread, but I thought I would post it here since it seems like it's on topic rather than create a whole separate threat... I hope that's okay! :)

Is there any necessity to this:  https://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Warm-Shower-White/dp/B000RHB7T4/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1370006271&sr=1-1&keywords=baby+tub+heated

heated tub?  I saw a few of these as options at BRU but wasn't sure if it's necessary or something I should consider.

I would go with something with less bells and whistles.  It just seems like there is too much that will break on that one.  It also looks huge!  We had the FP Whale of a Tub and loved it.  It lasted us until DD was around 7 mos old then we went to the big tub.  Just make sure that whatever you pick has the grippy lining behind baby's back.  I used SILs tub and it was really hard to wash dd and keep her upright without the grippy.
