LEEP anyone?

This is not my regular board so sorry for intruding, but I'm looking for advice & thought I might find some here. I had the LEEP procedure done on March 12th. My husband & I planned to begin trying for baby #3 this year after moving. Well we moved & I'm just getting more& more impatient by the day! My doctor told me we could begin TTC a month after (April 12) but from what I've read, what his nurse said, & what my aunt said who is a doctor (different field though) it's way too soon. They're saying 6 months - a year! Anyone have any advice/experience/thoughts on this? Sorry if this is not the right place for this,I wasn't sure which board to go to for this.
