when can lo have lotion?

When can I start putting lotion on lo? Her skin on her hands is so dry. Her cord has came off and she is getting normal baths.

asap. You can do it from day 1, I have never had any pedi or nurse tell me other wise.

This. I put lotion on after every bath.

I don't use lotion but rather i use a base oil: almond oil. I checked with the pedi regarding any allergies first and the oils are so refined there's practically nonprotein there to cause an allergy. I just dab some on cotton wool and rub it on her hands and feet. It's gotten rid of the dryness and it's gentle.
