Stuck...need name help

Okay, I know these name posts are over done but my DH and I are stuck.

We love the name Elizabeth for our little girl and have been unable to come up with a good middle name that we agree on. Our last name starts with a C and is 2 syllables.

Any suggestions would be amazing!

TIA!

  • Hmmmm.  There aren't any family names or something with some significance that you like? I'm not big on random MNs. But in general, since Elizabeth is 4 syllables, I would choose something short & sweet, preferably 1 syllable.

  • I agree, since family names aren't important (or are they?), I'd go with a one syllable like Anne.

  • Elizabeth Marie
    Elizabeth Jane
    Elizabeth ann

  • Elizabeth Anne came to mind, too.

But I also vote to go with a family name if you can swing it, but that's just the way I roll.

  • If this baby is a girl she will be Elizabeth nick named Ellie.

Elizabeth Jane or Elizabeth May are at the tops of our list.

I am Elizabeth Ann and my maiden name started with a C. I've always liked my name and my nn was Beth and Beth Ann flowed nicely too. I now go by Elizabeth except to immediate family who still use Beth though. I also went by Liz at one time, one of the big reasons I liked my name was the ability to switch it up.

    /ramble sorry!

  • I like pp suggestion of Elizabeth Marie, but I thought of Elizabeth Joy.

I have a great aunt joy and she is one of the sweetest nicest women I have ever met, and she's an awesome baker too! Cheesecake especially lol. I wanted to name this little girl middle name joy but I let DH pick the middle name

  • Yes, we went through all of the family names and either they didn't fit or we (mostly my DH) didn't like them.

One we actually considered was Elizabeth Claire but we're not sure it goes with our last name. :/

Thank you ladies, I agree her MN should be short and sweet, I'm going to run all of your suggestions by my DH and see if any make the cut. :)

  • We are going with Eliza Jane C. We were jumping between Eliza or Elizabeth using Jane for both.

  • We had considered Elizabeth for a girl. The middle name would have been Pearl, which is a family name for us.

I also liked Nicole, Noelle, and Lauren for middle names.

I am guessing family names are not important. Claire is jumping out as a good fit with Elizabeth or maybe Cl'ire Wink. But for real I think Elizabeth Claire sounds good. Or Elizabeth Ann.

Bahaha!! But remember, the apostrophe wasn't replacing any missing letters so it would be something like Cl'aire.  I like it!!

I think a short name would be best since the first name is on the longer side:

    • Grace
    • Kate
    • Rose
    • Ruth
    • Hope
    • Mae
    • Joy
