I have a couple of questions... what is the right amount of WCM that a 12 month should be drinking? We've been transitioning to WCM yet DS is still drinking 20-22 oz of formula/WCM a day. He eats yogurt and cheese daily and I am worried that he might not be getting all nutriets he needs because of how much milk he is getting. We'll probably be completely transistioned to WCM in a couple of weeks and I am considering lowering his intake at that point. How much WCM do you feed your LO?
Also, if anyone can share their eating schedule for a 12 month old, that would be very helpful. I'm trying to figure out how to lower milk but still include it and not have 7 meals a day (which we currently have) unless it's needed.
TIA!
Re: Milk and Feeding Schedule
730am breakfast with milk
11-12p lunch
3pm snack
6-630p dinner with milk
830p milk
We switched to straight milk on their 1st birthday. My pedi said no more than 20oz of milk and no more than 5 oz of juice. And our feeding schedule looks like this:
7-8 wake up and breakfast cereal, fruit, and 6oz milk.
10:30-11 lunch depends on the day, and 6oz milk.
2-3 when they wake up a snack usually crackers, and 5oz juice.
5-6 dinner again depends on the day, with 6oz milk.
They still get a bottle of water before bed when they want it and, they have a sippy cup of water available all day.
