Re: I'm certain I will be BALD soon...

  • Mine started to ease up between four and five months. We should have bought stock in Drano! It was terrifying to pull out those chunks, but my hair is just as thick as it ever was.

    Hope it eases up soon!!

4 months is when it was the worst for me too.  It should slow down soon.  Then you get to look forward to the chunks sticking up all over the place as they start growing back in.  If I put my hair in a pony tail, I look like I have a lion's mane!  Best part... all the hair that fell out, grew back red.  The rest of my hair is light brown.  Um, what?

4 Months is the worst because that is when your hormones bottom out before beginning to settle back to more normal levels. I think by 6 months my hair loss was pretty close to pre pregnancy levels.

Oh man.  I have so been there.  Just to warn you, if you are breastfeeding I went through another wave of massive hair clumpage after I weaned.  I finally have new baby hairs growing in and it looks ridiculous.  I have a new found love for hairspray!
