Trying to Get Pregnant

Trying to get pregnant!!

Hi Ladies,

Me (22) and my husband (23) already started to conceive. However, I am so excited and I cannot wait until I get pregnant. A lot of people tell me that I cannot stress it because then it won't happen?? Also, yesterday I started feeling a little bit of cramping, of course my period ended May 20th and we are in May 30th so I am not eve close to my next period. Is it normal?  I am a little paranoid of not "getting pregnant"  :( and having difficulties. My OBGYN told me that I have the perfect weight and that everything is fine so I am taking prenatal vitamins as well. Can I get any advise? it is really bad thinking too much about the situation? We do make love without the though of it, so I am not concern about that. Help please :)

There's a lot of great info in the newbie link at the top of the page, and you can check out the TTGP blog for lots of great info:  https://tbttgp.wordpress.com/

If thinking about a situation changed what actually happened, then I could think my way into a smaller pair of pants.  Having a positive outlook will help you have a happier life, but it's not going to change your fertility.  It can take a healthy couple a year to get pregnant.  For me, learning about my body has helped keep me from worrying because I know what's going on instead of wondering each month.

Charting your basal body temp (BBT) is super easy with fertility friend, and it is really the only way to confirm that you have ovulated - don't trust period tracker apps!  There's a ton of great info and free tutorials with FF website to help get you started.

    Good luck!

  • The newbie blog linked at the top of the forum has some really great information.

I suggest you read that, and think about reading the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility". It will help a lot and you'll learn a lot.

Try not to obsess about twinges and cramps. You'll go crazy! PMS and early pregnancy have the same symptoms.

  • Now that you're TTC you'll notice all sorts of cramps, twinges, bits of nausea, sore boobs, and such that you have likely always had but just didn't notice before - when TTC you're hyper aware of everything your body does.  Take a deep breath, try to relax, and do your reading so you know how everything works, all of the info everyone else gave you should cover it pretty well.  Knowledge is power and will help you to relax more through your cycles TTC.  Good luck!
