Question About DHA

My hubby and I are thinking about trying soon, and I've heard about women taking DHA along with their prenatal. I'm on a prenatal, but haven't loved taking the DHA. Does anyone know if I can put off taking this until I'm actually preggers? I know taking a prenatal before you're actually pregnant can be beneficial, but is it the same for DHA? Or can I wait on that one? Thanks!
