September 2013 Moms

Ready for the heat in the Northeast?

We are expecting 90 degree temps here in MA for the next 4 days, and I am so excited. It's barely been hitting 70 here (50's over Memorial Day) so I am ready for some warmth! Smile

We'll see if 4 days from now, after experiencing the heat 6 months pregnant, if I am still as happy about it, haha

See my "Your face looks swollen!" post below. My guess to the bolded is a big fat no! Wink

  • Its supposed to pour here for the 2 days but I guess that's what Washington gets!
  •  It has been pretty muggy down in Orlando...I have elephant feet...I spent Monday in the pool, I think that is where you will find me all of August...

  • That's a big fat no for me. It's been in the 90's for the last couple of days and I'm sick of summer already. Normally I love the heat but I hate the swelling and sweating while being pregnant.

I'm sure our electric bill will be insane because I've got the AC on 64 right now. Other than going to the pool, I don't plan to leave the house much during August.

  • I live in Miami. We've been at those temps for weeks now. It's no fun.

Plus, today was the first time I've worn sunglasses in about a week and a half because it finally wasn't gloomy and pouring today. I don't expect that to hold out for long.

I am thrilled!  Hoping for some pool time this weekend.  I love summer!
  • I'm prepared!  I've got my sundress on today and sitting in AC
  • It is supposed to be super hot the next few days here in PA tooI like the warmth but not quite sure I am ready for the 90s yet. Glad I work in a hospital though, it is usually pretty cold in my department!

  • Bleh.. I woke up this morning to workout at 5:30 and it was already 70 degrees. I live near Philadelphia and it's the humidity that kills me. I am ready to pack up and move to California or Hawaii...it's still hot but the scenery is a lot prettier!
  • It's going to be a looooong summer.

  • I am so not a heat fan.. if summer worked where it didn't get hotter than the low 70s with a couple of days in the 80s here and there I would be thrilled. But we also live on the 3rd floor of an apartment with an air conditioner that is old as dirt and doesn't cool the whole apartment well...which does not make summers fun here.

  • I'm kind of excited too lol I might walk down to the beach, but we shall see. I don't know if my swimsuits from last year fit! I think this will be a test to see if my pregnant self will enjoy the summer the way my non pregnant self does.

  • Lol I was saying same thing here in Nj until yesterday when it actually hit 90 and I wanted to cry. But I do enjoy pool weather. Can't wait for the wknd.

  • I'm only wearing my wedding band today instead of both my band and e-ring.  Last night I was so swollen that I had to run my hand under cold water to get them off.  And it wasn't even that hot out yesterday!

At least I bought some cute maternity shorts last week so I can wear them this weekend.

I am so ready for it ! I am in serious need of a tan. I got DD a kiddy pool but it really is so that I can sit with my feet in it.

I'm with you! When it's 90 outside, it can get close to 100 in my classroom. It's miserable. By the end of the day tomorrow, I'm not expecting any of my students to be willing to think. It might be a lights out, shades down, movie time day.

This is me too. I am still in all of my regular clothes and my feet don't swell, but I had to take off my e ring and just wear my wedding ring as it felt way too tight and I was worried they would get stuck. I have a friend who had to cut theirs off while pregnant because it got stuck. It doesn't feel at all uncomfortable on my hand but can barely get it on and off. How depressing.

I haven't been wearing either ring for at least a month now. My hands tend to swell at night & it's just not worth it. While pregnant with DD, I went to Walmart & got a really cheap set that looks like my actual set. This time around, I really don't care.

Weirdly, here in Northern California it has been cold, cloudy, and windy the past week. I had to get my jacket back out but now I can't zip it up!!

I take them off at night anyway, but during the day they swell.  My e-ring is tighter than the band, which is why it's the first to go lol.  I figure I'll get a chain and wear my wedding band as a necklace once I can't wear it anymore.  I don't feel like buying a cheap band just to have one on.

  • It was really hot today in MD/PA.  I live in one state and work in the other....both practically on the border.  I am dreading tomorrow because it is my school's field day and they are calling for very high temperatures.
