... and go figure, it had to be all the way across the country. I do have to say, I'm very proud of my girls though! Getting thru the airport was a bit hectic. Once we got our luggage checked, it was at least easier to manage, but going thru security, well, that was interesting. We took our stroller to check at the gate, and I don't know how many of you have the City Select Baby Jogger, but while it's an amazing stroller, that thing is a pain in the butt to take apart when you don't have much time and there's a line building up behind you. Luckily, when people saw our girls, they understood and had more patience, but I just felt bad holding everyone up.
Anyway, we made it to the plane and my plan to feed the girls during take off went great... they both ate and fell asleep shortly thereafter. One hitch in the plan: my mom brain didn't consider myself in this whole plan, and a couple hrs into the 5 1/2 hr flight my boobs started to protest and wanted to be emptied. I tried to ignore it, but when i leaked thru the breast pad, my bar, my tank top, and my shirt, I finally woke the girls to nurse a little bit... thank goodness they were both a bit hungry, but now I just look like a complete mess! Oh, the joys of motherhood! But honestly, I just have to laugh... a friend of mine told me just always to expect the unexpected... I should've known that extended to me!
