Ftm mom here, and although I have been working with kids for ever, I am kinda new to using a diaper bag, especially for a newborn. Just wondering what any BTDT moms or anyone else may keep in theirs?
I am planning to EBF and will be staying home. I just want it packed for short trips to the store, dr, restaurant, etc. Here is what I was thinking so far:
Diapers
Wipes
2 changes of clothes for LO
1 or 2 receiving blanket
nursing pads for me
Wet bag for soiled clothes
Hand sanitizer
Anyway, I'd love to know what worked for others and any nifty little ideas to add to mine. Thanks!
Re: What's in your Diaper bag?
Let's see if I can remember from having a newborn!
Diapers
Wipes
Changing Pad
Nursing Pads
Nursing Cover
Extra outfit or two
A granola bar/bottle of water for me (Nursing makes you starving/thirsty!)
Bibs once she started spitting up
I think that's about it!
I generally left a bag of stuff in the car - extra diapers, some cloth wipes and water (since wipes dry out in the summer), change or two of clothing.
in the bag basically what you said, but maybe only one outfit and a spare onesie since they take up so little room.
diapers
wipes
3 outfits
changing pad
bottles
binkys
breast pads
diaper cream
bibs
washcloths
lotion
grooming set
It seems like a lot but we are always on the go and occasionally stay with inlaws.
Okay smarty pants. LOL
I don't even have a diaper bag yet. Wow I feel way behind. But this will be my 2nd time. The items listed above sound like a great start.
I do have a diaper bag...so there's a start, haha.
