I need opinions.
Cholesterol and all that..I know it should be limited in adults.
How closely should that be "watched" in a child?
My daughter has never really liked eggs. All of a sudden, she's really into them. I made eggs for breakfast, and she wanted some of mine.. she liked it, so asked for her own. Then she says "can I have scrambled eggs for lunch too? And dinner?" I imagine 3 eggs are a bit overboard. But I told her I'd make her another for lunch.
Do you watch cholesterol in your child? Do you limit their eggs?
Re: Eggs and kids
Ditto.
Eggs = healthy fat. I don't worry about healthy fats or the cholesterol in eggs. For any of us. Actually, I thought that "they" (i.e. mainstream nutrition people) have decided that the cholesterol/fat in eggs isn't something to worry about anymore. At least for today

I actually know that saturated fats can impact cholesterol more than actual cholesterol can, so my husband and I don't really worry about eggs either. He has at least a dozen a week, I probably have eggs every other day.
I just wasn't sure if you should keep an eye on that with kids, and if 2-3 eggs a DAY were a little much.
I love eggs.
This is how I feel. Unless you've specifically been told to watch your cholesterol I wouldn't limit your/her eggs. I eat an egg for breakfast every day fwiw.
Nope it doesn't! None of us have high cholesterol. Ok, my mom does.. but that's based on a crappy diet. We eat healthy in our home (for the most part) and our numbers are good. I've never worried about it, just got to thinking a little on it when she asked for 3 of them. But I could try an egg white and see if she likes that, too

Yup!
My kids eat 1-2 every morning for breakfast with fruit and bacon.
LO loves scrambled eggs. I'm totally adding peppers tomorrow. Great idea on the veggies! Can't believe I didn't think of that!
