Im not really sure where to look/or if theres a section for medical when ttc?
I have ankylosing spondylitis and before i lost my insurance i had talked to my doctors about going off my medications for my AS and be 100% med free while ttc. (one is class B so its a toss up, but the others i have to be off for a few months as they are class D) Hubby and i decided to make the jump, and its a good time to start the process to try for our little bundle of joy.
Since i dont have my insurance at the moment, (my new jobs insurance hasnt picked me up yet) i just called my primary, neurologist and rheumatologist and spoke with them about going off my meds and in what doses i need to ween myself off them. But would like some input as to what others have done/been told from their doctors if there was a medical forum section.
Does anyone know of any site that could give me extra info? or point me into a direction of a forum i should be looking into? We wouldnt actually start ttc until the end of july/august unless i hear otherwise. So any advice would be wonderful.
Re: New to the bump, directions please? lol
There are no specific boards for TTCing with medical issues, so you'll just have to browse the TTC boards and see if any of the fit your needs.
You may also want to check out some AS forums to see if there are others in your situation.

Curious as to why you'd want to go off meds and TTC before insurance kicked in. Or are you going to wait until July/Aug when your insurance does kick in?
We are just starting to go off my medications now, they take roughly a month to ween off one of them for dosages, but we wont actually start TTC until end of july/ beginning of august. My insurance should kick in within 2-3 weeks. We just want my system to be fully medication free for a few solid months before we start, and not to mention see how my body reacts without the medication for pain/inflammation.
And thank you for the website, i will check into it!
