What is this pain?

Unfortunately, my doctor is on vacation and the nurse is of no help.

I have a ton of pelvic pain/pressure, only when I stand or walk (not when I sit). Sometimes I even have shooting pains down my left thigh or it feels as if the baby is a fire poker trying to escape through my vagina.

This is baby #2 and I didn't have anything like this with baby #1. Just trying to figure out if I there's anything I can do (e.g. walking, yoga/stretching, rest) to ease the discomfort.

    is it on the front or back of your leg...I get sciatic nerve pains and it sounds just like that, but is on the back of my leg, like down by butt...

    It's actually on the inner thigh (not the back or front) :( I thought or sciatica or round ligament pain. Guess I'll have to wait for the doctor on Monday.

    hmmm...theres no other doctor on call as a back-up?  I wonder if you can call the labor and delivery department of your hospital and ask to speak to a doctor there just so you don't have to wait til monday.  There has to be someone there.  Thats an option with my place.
