Trying to Get Pregnant

Positive OPKs 5 days in a row? Warning slightly long

Is this even possible? I've been testing since the end of my last cycle which was 2 weeks ago last today and for the last 5 days now, I have been getting positive OPK tests. What could this mean? I felt a slight fleeting bit of pain around my ovary on te right side of my body two night ago, which I am thinking was the sign that the egg released. My fianc and I have been having sex at least once, sometimes twice, a day for the last 10 days. I have been checking my BBT with a BBT Thermometer everyday at the same time like clockwork and my temp has remained constant for the last three days. It spiked over a degree the same day I got my first positive OPK test and has remained pretty constant since, only fluctuating / .01 degrees.

I felt nauseated for a little while yesterday, but it is still too early to be experiencing symptoms now right? So what does the 5 day constantly positive OPKs mean? Any ideas or experiences? I am open to any advice. Thanks!

  • I'm not trying to be funny, as I am new at this. But you do know that the LH line must be the same or darker than the control line to be positive, right? I just got my first faint line today, which I've heard continues with some throughout their cycles, but so far not me.

  • My test lines have all been way darker than the control lines for sure. I have been double and triple checking the lines after each test. As small side note, my CM was watery this past week and then, the last two or three days, it's been kinda egg white consistency. As far as linking the chart, I use FF, and as far as I can tell, I don't see where I can or know how to link it to here?

In FF, go to Sharing, get code and there should be a link there that you can post.

On the FF website, you go to Sharing and click "Get Code" then copy the simple link.

It is possible to have a long surge. I usually only have two days of positive OPKs, but some people have more. The positive OPKs combined with the EWCM sound like you could be finally ready to O, so I'd keep HIO until you see a temp shift.

  • I use the Clearblue advanced digital OPK tests to where it tells me via a smiley face or an empty circle. For the last 5 almost 6 days now, the smiley face keeps coming up and when I pull the test out to look at it, the test line is darker than the control line. So I guess I'll just have to keep DTD until its time to take a HPT or until my OPKs are no longer showing positive. Thanks for the input guys. I will try to link my FF chart later this evening it sometime tomorrow.
