Thought it would be fun to make a list of all the reasons why having a baby due in January is great!
Write a one sentence response (or more, but separate reasons with a space so that it is easy to read)
1. Eating all the holiday snacks around Christmas!
2. Not being huge in the summer!
Re: Why are you thankful for a January baby?
Not baking in the hot Phoenix sun
Cuter layering options
Edit fixed autocorrect
DD was a December baby, so all my seasonal maternity clothes will still be the correct seasons.
All my newborn gear will also still work.
Something to look forward to after Christmas!
No 3rd trimester during the summer!

* Having a birthday near DS2. DS1 and DD are only (exactly) 1mo apart for birthdays. DS2 and Baby #4 will have birthdays about 2 mo apart.
* If I have another boy, I will have all the correct seasons.
* I will be early 2nd tri in the hotness of summer. It will be fall/cooler before I start getting huge.
SAHM to 4 kiddos... K (5/05), N (4/09), C (11/10) and Baby A 1/13/14
Plus I couldn't imagine being 30 plus weeks in summer. And I can also reuse my maternity clothes.
I love this one! It would be a cute on announcement too! "We are expecting another gift after the holidays" Baby ______ due 1-2014
SAHM to 4 kiddos... K (5/05), N (4/09), C (11/10) and Baby A 1/13/14
1. Not having the youngest or oldest kid in their class (I'm a July baby, graduated at 17, was last for everything).
2. Hopefully any Christmas gifts for me this year will instead be for Lil Nugget (I hate when people spend money specifically on me).
3. I don't have to be self conscious about being the size of a house during bikini season (hello shallow reason).
4. We don't have any other January birthdays in my family.

I mean, I don't mind *my* side, but his? Pfffffffffffhhhh.
Baby Chugging born 12.28.13
induction due to HELLP
This exactly. DS2 was born a week after Labor Day. I suffered through the hottest summer of the year EVER in Philly at 9m pregnant. It was awesome.
Staying snuggly warm by the fireplace while cuddling a newborn.
Eating ALL the things at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Being able to re-use my maternity clothes from my first pregnancy - DS is a December baby. I also get to buy new, cute winter clothes because DS was born in '08, so I need to replace some things.
Having something to look forward to in 2014. This year has been hard emotionally, 2012 was the hardest year of my life, so I'm hoping 2014 brings new beginnings for our family.
Minus the "again." DH and I actually made a deal last fall that we would only even consider TTC between April and July so I wouldn't have to be super pregnant in the crazy summer heat and humidity.
Having several months to lose the weight before breaking out the spring clothes
Having a good excuse to hibernate and stay out of the cold
Definitely this.
DD and new baby will have birthdays about 3 weeks apart. So I can reuse everything! If it's a girl.
If they didn't get something they wanted for Christmas, there's always their birthdays.
For sure not being huge in the hot summer!
LO being able to go in the pool in the summer. I waited till DS was over 6 months before he first got in the pool, so I'll do the same for this one.
Having a baby to cuddle with during the cold Michigan winter
Having hubby deal with all of the Christmas chaos for once
: )
Not being super pregnant in the summer!
And I have a perfect excuse to not have to fly cross-country for Christmas.

-all of my maternity clothes will be in season
-all of baby's clothes will be in season, DS was born in December
-having something to look forward to after the holidays, and hopefully 3rd tri will go quickly because of the holidays
-it will be the first in our family since my Grandma to have a January birthday
-having a newborn in the winter is nice DS was December 8th, we just hunker down and hibernate and then emerge in the spring :-)
Being able to wear maternity pants during the holiday season to eat myself silly.
I love the holidays. I am going to love them even more this year.
Winter maternity pictures ahhhhhhh heart melt.

I am just so excited to give DD a little brother or sister after trying for many months. Would be equally happy no matter what the month of EDD!
I am thankful for January though b/c it was my very last month of having the baby before my birthday, which is 1/25.

I get out of all the budget stress, planning and presentations at work.
Love Thanksgiving and Christmas and I agree with PP RE: Christmas cookies and bulky clothes!
Most people are back at work after the holidays so DH and I will have time alone with our LO without a circus of people parading through.
I always hoped our LO would be older for their first Christmas rather than a newborn so almost one year old is perfect!!
We don't have any january bdays in my family. We have soooooo many Spring bdays that it's getting out of control. I was told I wasn't allowed another April baby!
Getting the first tri over during the summer, when my work is slowest.
Not having to fly at Christmas! We flew to see both of our families last year, knowing we probably wouldn't be able to this year. But, selfishly, I will be happy to have Christmas at home right before we start our family.
Great topic idea
