Last night was DD's first night in her crib. Six hours later she is still asleep, but on her belly. She can roll front to back and back to front. It's freaking me out but probably ok, right?
I think the rule is if they roll to their belly to sleep they are fine...but you shouldn't put them on their belly.
this - some babies just prefer their belly. This was the only way my niece would sleep. I think once LO is no longer swaddled she will be a belly sleeper too because she seems to wiggle herself in that position while in the positioner.
DS has been sleeping on his belly for a little over two weeks now. The first day or two, I kept going in his room and flipping him back to his back and he kept getting back to his belly. I agree with PP, if they can flip themselves over then it's safe to leave them from what I have been told.
DD naps on her belly. She way prefers it. She can roll both ways and hold her head up for over 1 minute. I know back is supposed to be best but sometimes you let your kid sleep however they will.
at our last dr visit, after she rolled all over the table, the dr said if she rolls onto her belly while sleeping, not need to turn her over, just don't put her down on her stomach....
DD has been sleeping on her belly since she started rolling over. If they can roll, they have the control to move their head the right way. I put her down on her back and before I am out the door she is on her stomach.
My daughter has been sleeping on her belly since 3 months old and enjoys sleeping that way.
