Can't find the heartbeat anymore

Ok... Maybe buying a Doppler was a bad idea.

Yesterday it took me about 5 minutes to find the heartbeat. A beautiful strong 165.

Today I wanted to let my husband hear it but nothing. I've tried 3 different times today spending about 15 minutes each time and I can't find it.

It is going to be a LONG 3 weeks before my ultrasound

That's the reason I don't think I can get a doppler. I would drive myself insane anytime I couldn't find something!

I have one, on loan from a friend. Tried for the first time last night, 12w1d, couldn't find anything but the whooshing of my placenta and/or blood flow. No biggie, I'm a lil padded around the middle and it's still fairly early. My OBs office doesn't do a doppler for the hb until around 15 weeks.

Same here. Found it last week at 164 and tried 3 times since then and nothing. I literally just tried 2 minutes ago. It definitelyakes me worry, especially having lost one before. My next appt is in 6 days.

Hearing the placenta is probably a good sign though. It's likely still working to support that baby.

Try not to worry about it too much. I'm a bit earlier than you and require a full bladder to find the heartbeat, so I really only use the doppler in the am.

The doppler is such a catch 22; it's reassuring and comforting, until it's the polar opposite!

You are still early. It is normal to have days where it migh not be as easy to find LO. As you get further along, it should get easier. Don't fret, baby is probably fine

That would make me nervous as well. I'm 9 weeks and don't go to the doctor tilJune 20th to hear heartbeat I'm a nervous wreck bc I haven't had much symptoms besides boobs a lil sore and more tired I guess I should count my blessings no morning sickness yet.

Sorry you couldn't find it today. I've thought about buying a doppler, but I think it would stress me out too much if something like this happened. Hopefully you can find it tomorrow.
