Hi All,
I just stopped by this board today for the first time and think it will be a new home for me. I am pregnant for the first time (15 weeks), and know that this will be my only child. DH and I have both decided that we are perfectly content with having only one. We just feel that one is going to complete our family and we can provide more for one than if we had two. Just wanted to share a little about me and say Hi to everyone!
Re: Hi There-Intro
Thanks! I am really excited about the LO coming. The only thing that has been difficult for me is the morning sickness and the nausea. It's been really rough. But I think that's mostly over for now and I feel lucky after talking to other MTB.
I am most looking forward to meeting the baby right now. I keep having dreams about what he or she will look like. I find out on June 17th what we are having and I can't wait. My brother and SIL are also expecting their first, she is 10 days ahead of me, so that is also really exciting for our family.
I'm really nervous about Labor and Delivery. I guess it's mostly the not knowing what to expect:) But women have been doing it for years, right? LOL
So how old is your adorable LO? I love the picture!
Do you have any strong feelings with now if you think it's a boy or girl?
-My instinct says boy all the way, funny how that instinct thing kicks in. I will be really surprised if I am told girl. DH really wants a boy. At first I really wanted a girl but now I am just ready to find out so I can start shopping. Confession(i bought a couple boy outfits already). Brother and SIL are having a boy, they found out last Friday.
Any names picked out
If a girl-I love Joslin, Kynlee and Kynslee. Hubby only likes Joslin out of those(it's the name of the park he played at as a boy so it's kind of sentimental.
Boy-I love Gavyn and Levi. Hubby likes neither. We are in for a fun time trying to pick names.
Did you struggle with names? Did you really wish for boy or girl? Did you want to have another one if you didn't get what you wished for the first time?
I didn't really wish for a boy or girl, but EVERYONE told me they thought it would be a boy. So, I guess everyone was right!
With names, my husband is a fifth (although not really technically since the first name is passed down to the first son but the middle name is always different...he's from a big Italian family), so the name thing was not that difficult. I would have gotten to choose the name if it was a girl though, and that would have been challenging for sure.
You never know! When I was pregnant, I don't know if it was wishful thinking or what (I originally wanted a boy), but I felt like 95% confident I was having a boy. Everyone else seemed to think the same thing. Pretty much all the OWT's pointed to boy. The night before our ultrasound, I had a dream that the tech told me it was a girl. Lo and behold, my last minute intuition was correct, and I'm so glad it was!
Have fun on June 17th!
I would love a girl so I'm perfectly ok if this happens to me:) but at this point it doesn't matter either way. Really ready to find out. Mommy intuition starts out strong early doesn't it? LOL
