I have my FET protocol!

My FET is scheduled for 6/21. I'm doing an estrace protocol, so I only take that then I start PIO on 6/16.

I got anxious and a little upset when I first saw the dates, which I didn't expect. I guess I felt that way because I'll be back to worrying about every little thing again like I did during my fresh cycle and because I'm afraid to go through another ectopic or miscarriage. I do feel ready to do this though.

This is my first FET. Does anyone have any advice? It seems pretty straight forward, but then again, IF is never straight forward!

I should have also asked- what did your RE say about folic acid? Do they have you taking a higher dose between now and then?

I was on the same protocol for my FET and it IS just really straight forward. It felt like a breeze compared to a fresh cycle! I only had maybe 3 appointments, and one of them was the actual transfer.

Thanks! I asked my RE if I should take extra folic acid and he said it can't hurt. He really didn't seem too concerned about my levels. But I'm taking my prenatal and an extra 400mcg daily. I try to eat foods with high levels of folic acid too when I can.

Congrats! I'm jealous of your protocol - I'm finally at the tail end of mine and it has felt really long - bcps, then Lupron, then Lupron and estrogen patches and tonight I start PIO.

I will say that it has been MUCH lower key and easier than a fresh Ivf. I've only had to go in for monitoring a couple of times and there are no restrictions on your behavior or anything.

Congrats! Tell me more about your protocol...I'll be doing a natural cycle FET soon...it sounds like that's what you are doing since its such a short timeline?

My FET is scheduled for 6/24 or 6/25 so we are close!! Also my first FET so I am curious to the responses as well! I end BCP's on 6/3 and then after I get AF I start estrogen patches and pills before I start PIO. Not sure of the dates and dosages yet, but should find out at my monitoring appt after I get AF. Ever since I started all of my IF treatments/procedures, I've been taking a folgard pill for extra folic acid. Always that, my prenatal and a baby aspirin! Good luck!! Excited to get this FET cycle started!!

I don't have any advice but wanted you to know I am thinking of you and hope this cycle gives you your take home baby. IF just sucks and really messes with our minds so I understand that feeling of anxiousness and getting upset. No one should have to go through this.

Thanks! I don't think I'm doing a natural cycle. I started Estrace pills yesterday. Then the plan is for me to increase the Estrace on 6/4 and start PIO, Crinone, Doxycycline, and Medrol on 6/16. I didn't do BCP since I was already suppressed.

What does your protocol involve? I don't know much about FETs, so I don't know all the different options.

I am on the same protocol. At your morning monitoring, they'll check that your PIO and E2 levels are high enough. I had to increase my dosage of PIO from 1ml to 1.5 ml starting the day before transfer and mt estrace was increased at some point early on as well. Other than that, the protocol is easy.

But I guess mine isn't the same as yours because as far as I know I am not doing anything but estrace, vivelle dot patches, and PIO...
