DH & I have been meaning to do one since DD was born but just haven't gotten around to it and it's really starting to bother me. How did you find an attorney to draw wills and trusts up? Google, friends, or some other way. We would want DD's Godmother to have legal custody of her but her Godfather (they're not a married couple) to handle her finances. So I'm not sure if it's something that's commonly done.

I would LOVE to have my mom get custody of DD but she not in the greatest of health and even if she were I would 't want my DD being raised by my step-father.

We used a program called something like Wills 2012. It was given to us by friends so we didn't pay for it. I talked to a lawyer and he said that at this point in our lives we didn't need to have a lawyer draw on up for us, the program works just as well.

I feel a lot better having everything in writing, just in case.

We had a financial guy and he also does wills and trusts.

All the things you mentioned, we did in our will...ie, certain people handling financial vs custody. We could also name three people in each category, in case someone was deceased or unable. And you could say your mom, but not SF.
