September 2013 Moms

Intro- Can I join you?

Hi!  I have been on the pregnant after loss board since January and figure it is probably time to start coming over here a little more.

We suffered with IF for 2 years- had 4 IVF cycles and 2 FET cycles. 1 FET resulted in a BFP that  ended in a loss and we had one surprise BFP that also ended in a loss.

We gave up on treatments and switched to a new OB recommended by 2 good friends of mine.  He decided to go simple and just try Femera- I filled the RX and waited for day 3 to start taking it.. but our 3rd BFP came first!

I am due on September 27 with what looks like a very healthy little girl.  Both DH and I carry the gene for cystic fibrosis. My 19 year old nephew has CF so I am very familiar with the disease.  We opted not to do an amnio due to the risks and my history of loss and IF so we will have to wait until after her birth to find out for sure if she is ok.  There is a 75% chance she will not have it.

Sorry for the long winded intro.. Hoping to be able to offer and receive support over the next 18 weeks!

  • Congrats and welcome! Wishing you all the best over the next 18 weeks and wishing you all the best with a healthy and happy baby girl.

As a good story note, my good friend and her hubby were carriers for a developmental disibality and when the same route as you, by not undertaking the genetic testing. She delivered a happy and health little boy over the weekend and currently no signs of genetic developmental dispositions.

    Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy!
