Little Itchy Bumps!

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this..I have the tiniest little bumps that are hardly even red covering my body. Started on my wrists and is now all over my arms, legs, and in between, under all over my breasts! So incredibly itchy! It seems to have appeared over the weekend when it was very hot I was in direct sun but its since gotten worse. Is this related to my pregnancy!?

Re: Little Itchy Bumps!

  • I have them, too. I have them on my breasts mostly and get them occasionaly on my belly...I think my skin is irritated from my maternity pants and bras plus the stretching taking place.

I DID have what I believed to be heat rash a few weeks ago. It started off as what looked like dry skin. Lotion wasn't really helping so I put a baking soda paste which helped but when I washed it off, there were these tiny bumps. I went to Urgent Care and the doctor said he thought it was an allergic reaction because the itching was only on the front of my legs (I was afraid it was an infection...) the rashes went away eventually a couple days later. I had been wearing jeans and the weather was unusually hot when the rashed developed.

The UC doctor said that I can use 1% hydrocortizone...I didn't for the heat rash and I have been using cocoa butter and/or coconut oil for the itching on my breasts and tummy...

  • I don't hve them but have read that the prenatal vitamins can give you reactions like this from the folio acid. Not sure if that's what you have but read up on it online.
  • I get them all over my legs if I get even a little warm!  Just started about three days ago and they are so itchy!

  • I've had this same problem for the past 5 weeks.  The rash is worst on my forearms but I also have it on my upper chest, tops of my breasts, hips, rib cage and some small spots on my legs.

I know I have contact allergies to a lot of lotions/soaps/sunscreens/make-up/shampoos etc but I haven't switched any of my products from the hypoallergenic stuff I use and I still have this awful itchy rash!

I find that taking an antihistamine helps (my doctor has ok'd Benadryl) as well as using Witch Hazel (found a bottle at a local drug store).  He also said that I'm allowed to use my regular prescription allergy cream (it is a corticosteroid cream) but I haven't been brave enough to try that yet.

Good luck at finding some relief!! Over the past month, I've decided that being constantly itchy must be a form of torture in some countries... it's just terrible!!

  • It's the cocoa butter that's causing that!!! I was reading and wondering if anyone would say!! Deffo the cocoa butter!! Every time I'm pregnant that happens!! Hope it gets better. Try alloe Vera or just a plain moisturiser.

I haven't had any bumps but I've been itchy in general because of the pregnancy. Hope it clears up soon for you.
