It wasn't bad at all!!!

My first day back at work flew by and I have an optimistic outlook for the rest of the week. I think it was best that I woke up late. I had no time to loathe over going back to work. I woke up, brushed my teeth, did my hair, got dressed, warmed up my car, kissed hubby and baby bye and left. I got a little misty as I closed the side door but I got in my car blasted my music, Rhianna, and hit the road!! Best advice I've ever received: don't look at going back to work as a bad thing, especially if that's your only option. Think about the benefits of going back and focus on that. It was true joy coming home and seeing a huge smile on my son's face!!! Thank you ladies for your encouraging words!

Yay! I will remember that advice because yah, I don't have much of a choice.

You brought up a good point, music blasting! I never get to do that anymore with baby in the car so that'll be amazing.

?, if you ebf, how did pumping go? This is what I am worried about most when I go back.

I breastfeed and supplement with formula and it could have been better. Our mothers room is a secure area and only lactating mothers and female managers in Operations have access to it. They forgot to give me access so I had to had to depend on another manager, who was in meetings all day, to let me in. With that being said I was only able to pump once!! I was on pain!! I expected something like this bit try to be on top of it. Have your schedule planned out and let you manager know. The last thing you want is to decrease your supply.

Glad your first day when well. I have gotten to where I see work my "my time" as silly as that may be. I can run errand at lunch, or just sit in the quite of my office if needed. I love getting back to my LO at the end of the day, but work has not been as bad as I thought it would be. My supply has been effected a bit, but I have started pumping 4 times instead of 3 in the hopes that things will get back to the way they were. No working in not an options so I will work with what I have. :)
