Holy smokes! I'm so excited to see this board. I haven't been on TB nearly as often as I used to so I had no idea this got started until today.
Let's see...intro stuff...I'm married for three years now to a guy I've known since junior high but we didn't start dating until I turned 30. We have a beautiful daughter named Aubrey who recently turned 2. She will be an only by our choice. I never had a number in my head of how many kids I wanted. When DD came, I just felt complete and that are family size was perfect. Yes, I have the "only child" guilt every now and then but for the most part am proud and confident in our decision.
I'm a high school teacher and I love that most of the time. As a family we like to do stuff outdoors and spend lots of time with my side of the family. My only brother and I both had our first children just 8 weeks apart and that makes for some fun times.
I'm looking forward to this board and think it's long overdue!
Re: Another intro.
Welcome to the board! I love the name Aubrey (a really great friend just named her daughter this).
What subject do you teach? I was an elementary teacher for years, and my husband teaches high school bio...we both say we could not handle teaching each others' grade level!
Welcome again.
PP...I have always taught English III, II, Communication Applications but this next year, I'm ditching the English taking up Journalism yearbook. I'm very excited. I agree with your DH in that I don't know how you do it, lol.
Yikes! I forgot what Bump Mobile would do to my type. That makes for a pretty nice first impression as an English teacher
Excuse the above post with all of its mistakes.
After my daughter started school last year, I have such a high respect for ALL teachers. I could teach NO grade, lol. Thank you for what you do
.. and welcome, glad to have you here!
That is so sweet! Thanks for the sweet words.
Welcome!! I also have one daughter and we felt the same way about feeling complete!
This is a great forum to talk to other OAD mommas! I am not on here often but it's nice to have advice from others in the same boat!
