Patio questions

I need ideas! We have a paver patio that's about 17 x 15. Were pulling up the whole thing and relaying it because a lot of the wood around it is rotting and the pavers have settled in some spots and not others, etc.

We use the area for bonfires we have a little fire pit thing and for just hanging out. We also have DSs sandbox there...

Since we're redoing it anyways we figured we would mix it up a little bit...So what are some features that you love on a patio and what are some that you hate??

    I love that ours is covered! If your patio doesn't have a roof you could always get a retractable awning, those look nice! Also always wanted a built in fire pit, made out of pavers. Good luck!

    A fire pit is one of the things we were thinking about building in, we just have a wrought iron type one now.

    But how do you decide where to put it??? I'm scared we would want to move it at some point.

    My favorite feature is our fireplace and lounge area. I like having a working sink and bar outside as well.
