DD has two small, hard, slightly red, bumps on her head. Maybe the size of a spider bite. They feel like calcium deposits, I just noticed them last night. She doesn't mind me touching them, no signs of illness... She has her 6 month check up in two weeks, would you wait until then to have her pedi take a look? They are at the top back area. About two inches above the occipital bone.
I would call the pedi just to be on the safe side. I'm sure it's nothing, but it never hurts to call and answer a few questions only to be told that you can wait two weeks.
If it weren't for them being red I'd say it's lymph nodes but I'm not sure they are ever red. I could be wrong though.
LO has little bumps there and it's not always. I looked it up and thought it was lymph nodes. I asked the ped at her 4 month and he confirmed it. No big deal as long as they don't get huge.

DD had one on either foot this weekend. Both hard, raised and slightly red. I thought HFM disease and called the pedi right away. She said if they aren't on the bottom the foot and don't spread to not worry about it b/c it's prob a bug bite. I have monitored them and they aren't spreading. She doesn't mind them and she doesn't have a fever. They seem lighter since then too.
