I'm a lurker on this board but since my DD is almost 6 months I thought maybe someone could help:
Our LO is 5.5 months old and we have had tremendous success with the Ferber method starting at 4 months. She STTN almost every night with a couple wake ups when she is hungry.
The past 48 hours she has learned to roll from back to belly and tonight she won't go to sleep. She is exhausted and keeps rolling on her belly then waking up very upset.
Do I go in and flip her? I have done twice and she has fallen asleep and flipped back to her belly making herself wake back up
Or do I let her figure it out ?
TIA!
Re: XP: what do I do now?!?
Like PP said, you'll have to let her figure it out. This translates to a couple of bad nights, but eventually she'll learn to sleep on her belly.
My son rolled back->belly at 4 months. The first night he did this he cried and cried. We tried turning him back on his back, but 3 seconds later he was on his belly again. We went back and forth for an hour trying to flip him on his back, but he just kept rolling. We eventually gave up and let him cry to sleep.
It took several nights before he was comfortable. Naps were bad too.
In any case, ever since then, DS has slept on his belly 95% of the time. We put him down on his back, but he pretty much rolls onto his belly right away to go to sleep.
