Re: MoMs to be checkin!
17 weeks today! Feeling good. Feeling and looking much further along than I am. Already people are asking me how much longer! LOL Ummm....don't ask! Movement is still sporadic. Some days I hardly feel anything and some days I feel them all day. Pretty sure they are both boys after our last u/s and I've been arguing with my husband over names. He really wants a Vinny, but it's bc his grandma's family is from Italy and he wants to be a Guido and say "HEEEYY!!! VINNY!" So cliche. I could get behind a lot of mobster names, but not Vinny. Unless one of these babies comes out with black slicked back hair and a widows peak, there will be no Vinny in this house. Really, I like the name Vinny....it's cute. But it seriously bugs me that the only reason H wants it is to use the catch phrase. #2 worst reason to name a child!!! LOL Okay, sorry for the vent.
QOTW: My Dad, for sure. He is so invested in his children's and grand children's lives. Without ever actually saying anything, he taught me and my siblings to value the most important things in life. Family, health, love, nature, laughter, tradition. He is the most amazing man I have ever met. He has this way of making each one of his kids/grand kids feel like they are his favorite. My grandma, his mom, also had this gift. I hope I can pass on these things to my kids and teach them to value life like my dad taught me.
Still hangin in on hospital bed rest. It's been almost 8w of bed rest, 5.5w of that in the hospital. Weary, sad, frustrated, but also so ridiculously happy to be at 29w,2d and still pregnant
Growth scan on Fri to see how much weight my chicas have gained. They are moving a lot, which delights me
Thinking constantly of Dixon, her family, and her 3 sweet angels, {Leah}, {Rachel}, and {Gabriel}.
Dx: balanced translocation and LPD
TTC since Oct 2011
BPF 02/19/12, EDD 10/31/12, natural m/c 02/28/12 (4w6d)
IVF (BCPs starting 10/30/12, ER 11/18/12, 5dt of 1 beautiful, healthy embryo 11/23/12)
BFP 12/02/12, u/s @ 6w,5d showed 2 HBs! Identical twins!!
Bed rest from 21w-35w due to short cervix, hospital bed rest from 23w-32w due to PTL
Our rainbows were born 07/19/13 (36w, 5d)
Update: Not much to report except that tomorrow we finally get to see an MFM! I am hoping they tell me the previa has corrected itself and that both babies look great. We weren't able to take a babymoon as we planned to Turks and Caicos (due to previa/bleeding/spotting), but if things go well tomorrow we will plan a long weekend getaway for this upcoming weekend and I can finally get a prenatal massage! We are slowly but surely getting the nursery together as my doctor told us to have everything ready by 32 weeks (next Thursday!). We still need a boy name...
QOTW: Hmm... I think I will have to come back to this. I need to think for a bit because there are many people that I admire for various traits, but not sure who I admire "the most".
Me: 31 | DH: 31
Unexplained Infertility
7/12-9/12: IUIs #1-#3 = BFN
11/12: IVF #1 - Transferred 2 blasts (1 frozen) = BFP!
Beta#1 (11/21) - 194, Beta#2 (11/26) - 1222, Beta#3 (12/2) - 9535 (It's twins!)
Started my twice weekly NST, and the girls are showing off my kicking the monitors off and completing the requirements within half the time needed. Makes me super happy and proud. And a little worried about the wild child's I'm gonna have.
Had names all picked out, but had a dream that I didn't use one, and now I'm completely unsure... DH is being very patient with me about it, HA!
Good luck this week, MoMma's!
Edit: QOTW: my husband. He is working overtime, comes home and does everything in the house and takes care of kids and me. And does it all with a smile. He is amazing.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Update: they changed my due date again, to 12/29. I had two glorious days this wknd without nausea, vomiting or migraines. My pants are starting to get tight.
QOTW: I admire my dad. He came from a horrible family and made something great of himself in spite of it. My mom has told me there were several yrs in the beginning of their marriage that were tough bc of the demons he was fighting. He is the most loving husband and father. I grew up with my parents holding hands and going on dates. I credit him for my great choice in my spouse. He showed me what a husband should be like and made me realize I was worth it.
4 Clomid cycles BFN's,3 injectible cycles BFN, 3 failed IUI's
Hystroscopy to remove cysts 11/2010
IVF #1 with ICSI Graydon Dane born Oct. 23, 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks.
Surprise BFP 10/9/12. Blighted ovum at 8wks. D&C 11/1/12.
Surprise BFP#2 TWINS!!! Boy/Girl twins.
Good luck tomorrow!
Update: The boys, Connor Christian and Dominick Lee, arrived on Thursday, May 16, 2013 (37 weeks 5 days, just a day shy of their scheduled induction date). The boys are doing great and we are working on breast feeding. It has definitely been a challenge BF two and having to supplement due to Connor's jaundice and Dominick's weight loss (greater than 10 percent).
QOTW: My DH. He has been there with me and for me through everything and never judges me.
Update: I'm 17w4d and finally wearing some maternity clothing. I'm wondering how I am going to get through the summer months. Sleeping is getting difficult between the reflux and my husband complaining I'm taking up the bed or my pillows are getting in his face. I take a nap virtually every afternoon, which also doesn't help my sleeping at night, but I'm so tired.
QOTW: I would say my husband. He's such a hard worker who is humorous, handsome, and caring. I lucked out.
Update: VERY uncomfortable the past few days. I had some growing aches last night that kept me up until I finally took some Tylenol and was able to go to sleep. I'm so happy the girls are growing, but OUCH... and double-ouch for my brain that worries with every little pain I have. I have to stay strong and just deal with it!
Next appointment is the glucose tolerance test... fingers crossed I pass!
QOTD: Definitely my husband. He has stepped up and taken such great care of me and our house/daily needs. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for him. I literally don't know how I would handle this without him.
IVF #1 w/ ICSI 9/2012 (10M 6F), ET 9/24 (1 good pre-blast), BETA 10/4= BFN,

DD-5/29/2013 @ 2:40pm
DS2-5/29/2013 @ 3:21pm
#4 EDD- 9/28/2016
At 22 weeks, feeling world's better than the first four months. We we to the doctor and found out one is a boy and the other is likely to be a girl. I will find out the sex of the other one in a few weeks.
Person I admire the most: probably my sister. She constantly reminds me that anything is possible and to keep pushing for success.
I am 25 w 3 days today. I had an ultrasound on Friday and the girls were looking great. They are 1.8 and 1.9 lbs. My cervix was still very closed and I have been feeling pretty good. I pretty much just relaxed all weekend. The nursery is almost ready. My work is throwing me a shower on Friday. Things are going well.
I most admire both of my grandmothers. My paternal grandmother was the typical house wife the cooked and cleaned and always dressed to the nines, while my maternal grandmother is stubborn, say it like it is and has faced a lot of adversity. They are both so different but admirable is so many ways.
This is my first time responding to this, so here goes.
I am 8 weeks today and seeing my OB for the first time this afternoon. I am hoping he will be able to confirm the findings of the ER on Friday (I have hyperemesis gravidarum) and tell me I'm having spontaneous twins.
Wish me luck!
QOTW: My husband. He very sadly lost both of his parents to cancer in the last 15 months and he's been absolutely amazing for his younger siblings through everything. Every day I'm proud to be his wife.
I'm not positive on my exact due date at the moment as this is my first appointment, but going by my LMP it would be January 10th-ish for a singleton.
This is also my first time responding to this post. Just found out we were having twins last week and am due Jan. 6th.
QOTW: I would have to say that I admire my maternal grandmother. Although she passed away many years ago, she played a huge part in my life and had such a big heart. She was also way ahead of her time in believing that women could have fulfilling careers, just like men. I will never forget her reaction when I told her I got into law school because I honestly think she was more excited that I was. She passed away before I graduated but I know she would have been very very proud.
33weeks and still on bed rest....but thankfully was sent home from hospital for PTL. Still having contractions and Dr stated I was currently a tight 3cm and 70%. Hoping to keep these two in till 36 weeks (Dr and our goal). Next appointment is this Friday will have Ultrasound to check growth and Dr appointment. With help of friends Girls room is coming together. Currently Baby A is low and head down (each appointment Dr mentions hw they can feel her head but Baby B is transverse laying on her side across top of my ribs/stomach). One Babies trying to escape while other is holding onto my ribs for dear life (aka trying to break them). Sick of constant contractions sleeping is hit or miss day by day.
Praying for Dixon813 and her little Angels.
QOTD: I admire my Dad he raised and adopted my oldest Brother from my Mom and never acted any different towards him....he's one of the hardest working people I know. I can't wait to see him hold my Girls!

Thoughts and prayers for Dixon813 - may love and support surround you during this incredibly difficult time.
Update: Tomorrow makes it 32 weeks for me, which feels like a huge milestone considering I've been having contractions since 30 weeks and am 50% effaced. Of course, I took today off to get some things accomplished and wouldn't you know it, my feet are swollen beyond belief out of nowhere! So spending the day resting on the couch instead. Next appt. is this Friday so I'm hoping everything is still on track and nothing has progressed further.
QOTW: I admire my dad - he's worked so hard over the years to provide so much for our family. I hope my husband and I can provide the same type of security for our kids.
My Blog: Girl & Town
I'm new- we just found out we are having twins last week! I'm 10 weeks, due December 23rd.
We had our second ultrasound today (first appointment with OB), they were able to do the external u/s this time which was nice. Both babies had great hb's and were moving around which was fun to see!
QOTW: I admire my parents - I hope that I can be as great of a parent to my babies as they were to me.
No major update this week. My next OB appointment is June 19. We hope to find out if the babies are identical or fraternal.
QOTW: My husband. He's always been there for me, never judged me, and has always taken care of me. I don't know what I'd do without him.
Update: 10w2d. Nausea has subsided. Feeling better each day. But that has me nervous. I'm looking more "pregnant" then "fat" so DH says but I still feel fat. 12 week u/s 6/10.
QOTW: My parents. They are just amazingly loving, caring, giving people. I hope I can be like them one day.
16 weeks! Had a scare this weekend. I felt amazingly heavy and a lot of pressure on my pelvic floor. Plus, I had some sharp stabbing pains. We went to labor and delivery on Sunday night. They measured my cervix which was at 2.8 and told me I had some non-labor contractions. Was told to do bedrest and relax at home (yea, right after hearing that). I followed up with the MFM this morning. Babies both look great and are quite big for being twins. Their fluid looks great and they were quite active! My cervix was 2.9, so MFM thinks we are in good shape. She said the reason for the pains is that my uterus is being stretched much faster than a singleon pregnancy. Actually, all my pains were caused by the rapid growth spurt the kids went through this week. In fact, she said my uterus looks the same as a 30 week pregnancy. YIKES.
QOTW: I don't think I can point to a specific person. There are characteristics that I admire in various people.
Update: 28wks 5days today, about 9wks to go! Got some great news at our last appointment: since we are hoping to deliver vaginally my OB will induce me at 38wks. Both babies are still head down and I've had zero complications so it looks like I'll be a candidate for that. I was worried she'd let me go the full 40wks!
I hit 40lbs gained this morning and I'm certainly feeling all of it. My back is really starting to ache. I've outgrown all of my shorts and have been reduced to wearing DH's boxers. Thank goodness I work from home!
QOTW: The person I admire most is DH's maternal grandmother. She was the most gracious person I'd ever met and loved me like I'd been family my whole life. If we have a daughter we are naming her for this very person who meant so much to us both.
37 weeks, 3 days and scheduled to be induced in 3 days!!! Wish me luck! We are having a boy and a girl.
29 weeks yesterday and I am already feeling like I'm slowing down. I'm not sure how much longer I can continue with my normal day to day routine. Thinking of cutting down my hours at work. Also, my son turned 4 years old last week and am now experiencing the "ferocious fours." Complete attitude change! OMG!
The good news is, my c-section has been scheduled for July 30th. So I'm no longer an August 2013 MoM!
Hi everyone! Pregnant with triplets, 18w6d today (due date is 10/23). Besides being utterly exhausted and starting to get uncomfortable as of the last few days, things are going really well. So far the worst "symptom" of my triplet pregnancy is varicose veins. Out of nowhere they have appeared ALL OVER my legs. They don't hurt at all but they are very ugly. Because of that I get to wear these really sexy compression garments every day all day (except at night) for the rest of the pregnancy. That's going to be so awesome with our mild Houston summers...NOT! Babies are all doing wonderfully though and that's what matters.
Exciting news for us this week is we learned the genders. I have 3 boys at home and really wanted at least one girl. Got my wish, we are having 1 girl and 2 boys. I am thrilled!
I hope everyone is doing great. My thoughts and prayers are with Dixon813 and her family, and praying for good test results for lovepink519.
31 weeks today. Having a rough day. Just uncomfortable. Boys are about 4lbs according to us last week. On Modified bed rest and trying to work from home for a few more weeks. Surviving.. Excited to meet them
Thoughts and prayers with those having a much tougher week.
I am new here. We found out yesterday we are having ID twins mono/di due 1/6/14. DH and I are really excited and a bit nervous for all that lies ahead.
QOTW: DH. He is so supportive and wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better partner.
32 weeks today, but measuring 48!! Thankfully, I'm mostly belly. MFM is cutting me off at 36 weeks, so I'm definitely in the home stretch. The girls are healthy and active and growing beautifully! They are currently 3lbs 10oz and 3lbs 14oz. So far, the MFM thinks I should get to 36w without a problem. Here's hoping!
As for me, I'm getting more tired and uncomfortable by the day. My heartburn and indigestion is terrible. I'm on tums, Zantac, and gaviscon! I stopped working this past Friday, which has helped. I'm just trying to suck it up and hold these babies in for 4 more weeks. All this being said, I just love to feel and watch them move in my belly! It's so cool! I feel like I'm full of aliens!
My thoughts are with Dixon and her family during this difficult time.
Checking in a little late this week. 32w 1d today. Starting to get prepared JIC. We've been doing our birth class online since the classes at our hospital fill up so quickly and I cannot get in before my due date. It's actually kind of nice doing it online since we can sit and talk to one another while we do it. (Also, we hook up the computer to the tv so it's nice and big.)
I can't remember if I mentioned last time that I will NOT be going past 38 weeks, or not. So I am looking at a max of six weeks right now. (Due date is actually July 23rd, but looking at July 10th as the latest.)
