What does engagement feel like?

I either didn't experience this right until labor with DS or just didnt notice it, but i feel like i am walking with a bowling ball between my legs lately. When i stand up or walk i have pain in my pevlis, it almost feels like a bruised feeling... I dont know if i am explaining it right.

Does this sound like she might be engaging? I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow so i will of course ask while i am there but was just curious what you ladies think. With only 6 more weeks to go i know its not impossible for her to be engaged that long. Its just exciting at the thought of my body preparing, she will be here before i know it! :-)

Sounds like she is heading in the position to arrive how exciting but not a fun feeling I'm very uncomfortable down there too thank goodness almost done yay

Dropping is different from engagement. The doctor will check to see if your baby is engaged by putting his fingers on either side of the head and wiggling it to see how firmly it is "wedged" in your pelvis. If baby's head is engaged it will move around a bit inside your pelvis.

What you probably have is that the baby dropped... Which means the baby's head is probably in your pelvis, but I doubt it's engaged.

How far along are you? Baby likely won't engage until you're very close to labour. I know mine wasn't engaged even at 39 weeks.

Oh, i guess i meant dropped then. I am 34w 3d along. Like i said i dont even remember with my first (6.5 years ago) but who knows, i will make sure to ask my Dr tomorrow.

What you feel probably is dropping... Makes you walk like a cowboy.
