Re: **June Blooms Check In**
I am on day 5 of stims. Feeling fine so far. Waiting for the bloating/uncomfortableness to set in. Next monitoring is tomorrow.
Go in this afternoon for my 2nd (of 3) acupuncture treatments this week. I go to my regular chinese practitioner then I got a groupon for 3 sessions with someone else so thought, why not? Can't hurt. The second one does it completely differently which is weird.
I am in Canada so no Memorial day for me but I think it is great to honour those who fight for our countries (same as Rememberence day (Veteran's day) here).
TTC #1 since Jan 2012
IVF March/April 2013
Still on BCP, waiting for 6/7 RE appointment.
QOTD: Memorial day is a very somber day for me. There are many people who like to celebrate it like it's the 4th of July or Veteran's day. Memorial day is about the soldiers who LOST their LIVES in the line of duty!
I had a student who was killed in action 2 years ago on Memorial day. He was just 19 years old. He was such a sweet young man, who had a love for The Lord, and his country!
My DH posted a great thing on FB last night about the true meaning of Memorial Day! I'll be glad to copy it in here, or PM anyone who would like to read it.
My last day of BCP's is June 3rd. It cannot come any sooner!! 29 days of BCP's a little much. After that I will start estrogen patches and pills with PIO thrown in there at some point. My estimated FET date is still June 24th/25th. Very excited.
QOTD: My grandpa was in the army and my husband's brother-in-law is in the military now. Just can't say enough about the past/present/future men and women (and their families) who fight for our freedom.
Hi ladies, looks like I should go ahead and introduce myself and ask to be including in your group! I was a May Emerald and did a freeze-all cycle due to OHSS. I'm getting ready to do my FET. It was supposed to be 5/29 (tomorrow), but I keep getting pushed due to my lining not cooperating.
At this point the earliest my FET will be is next Mon, June 3rd. But I have a feeling it will be even later. I go in again tomorrow to get checked out. Thanks for including me!
QOTD: My grandfather and great grandfather both served. They are the closest American heroes to me! As for this weekend, it wasn't the best ever. DH had to work all weekend and we have a lot of stress in the house right now due to his work and my IVF drama, haha, so it definitely could have been a better weekend! I was envious of all of the people on vacation and doing fun stuff. Oh well, I've had my fair share of trips and fun in the past, so I can't complain! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Me: 33, DH: 35, DX: PCOS & MFI (low everything)

QOTD: my grandfather was a veteran and is the closest American Hero I personally know. Many students from the district I have worked in have lost their lives fighting for our country and I cant imagine havig that kind of courage.

Both of my grandfathers were Marines. One died last year right before Memorial Day. His funeral was the Tuesday after Memorial Day. He took great pride in being a vet and it felt so appropriate that his funeral would be then. He had the full military service and it was incredibly moving. He would have loved it.
Me: 29 ovulatory disorder
DH: 30 MFI - low everything

EDD 3/9/14
Hi ladies! I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend!
I had my saline u/s, mock transfer, and IVF class this morning. I had a septum removed last January, so this saline u/s was to make sure there was no scaring, polyps, or septum left. Thank goodness, everything looked beautiful in there! I have 10 follies waiting on the right ovary and 12 waiting on the left! Hopefully, one of those is ready to be a baby
The mock transfer was easy-peasy and the class was LONG! But, we are ready to start Lupron tonight! I'm excited to be doing something new.
QOTD: All of the men in my family have been in the military and all have served in the war of their era. My husband was deployed to Iraq when I was 5 months pregnant with our DS and came home when our DS turned 6 months old. Also, DH had a buddy who was killed while they were overseas, so Memorial Day is more than just an extra day off work for us. We go to our local Memorial Day ceremony and DH is in the parade with the American Legion. DH had a pretty rough time while he was in Iraq and there were many close calls, so I take Memorial Day to just be so thankful that he is still with us. Honestly, DH is the reason we have been doing fertility treatments for so long. I think if he wouldn't have missed the birth and first 6 months of DS's life, he might be able to close that chapter. But, that is something he really desires, so I'll go to the ends of the earth to help him close that chapter!
I hope everyone has a great week this week!!

just got the call! Last bcp tonight and starting estrace Saturday 3 times a day as well as vivelle dot. Return June 7 for monitoring
Hello, Blooms! Sending {[hugs]} to those who need them today!
I'm on day 5 of stims! Yesterday, my b/w showed slighlty high estrogen (300 @ day 4 of stims), so they bumped me down from 200 to 150 units of follistim.
I had my first u/s appointment today. I have 5 follies just under 10mm, and the u/s tech said that's a perfect result for this point in my cycle - yay! My estrogen came back at 638, so they are keeping me at 150 units. I'll go in tomorrow for more b/w. I've just started to feel uncomfortable today - maybe because my ovaries got poked and prodded this morning!
QOTD: Memorial Day makes me reflect on my family members and loved ones who have served our country. My grandfather and DH's grandfather both fought in WWII, and my FIL and uncles served in Vietnam. Always grateful to our military families and all the sacrifices that they make for us.

Hi ladies,
Looks like I'm leaving you.
Today is also day 5 of stims for me (10 units microdose lupron twice a day, 150 menopur, 300 gonal f), and it was my first monitoring appointment. My E2 is super high at 1560, and I already have a couple really mature follicles: 24, 20, 16, 14 and maybe a couple much smaller ones. They're converting my cycle to IUI. I trigger tonight and go in for IUI on Thursday morning.
The nurse keeps telling me it's a good thing I responded so well to the meds. But it's still a giant bummer to know IVF is off the table right now. And, if this IUI is a bust, that the next couple months will be spent scheduling around IVF shots and monitoring and procedures.
But for now, one step at a time. IUI is next...that's a "bonus" chance we didn't expect to have. (IVF#1 had been our last ditch effort.)
GL to you all!

Can I just say that I am so sick of Lupron by now, I want to punch it in the face! I only just started minivelle a few days ago, and will be adding crinone in a week.
QOTD: I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!! We all know the importance of Memorial day and what it represents but does Memorial Day have any extra special meaning to you? If so, please share the stories of your own personal American hero!!
Is it absolutely wrong to answer this question with myself being the hero? I've never considered myself as such, but I am a former U.S. Marine, so I feel a special connection on that day.
That is awesome! Thank you for your service!

| Married since 2008 | DH and I: Both 30 | Me: Endometriosis and Carrier of an X-Linked Dominant Genetic Disorder | DH: Low Morph | Planning IVF with PGD and PGS in 2013 | Freeze-All IVF #1: March 2013 ER 3/26. 29R, 12M, 11F. 4 5AA frozen blasts. Freeze-All IVF#2: May 2013 ER 5/15. 31R, 21M, 20F. 6 5AA frozen blasts. Our PGD probe was completed in late June (total of 20 weeks to develop). PGD and PGS Results came on 6/19: 3 healthy embryos (normal chromosomes and unaffected by my family's genetic disorder). FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014
I finally got to stop BCPs and started Lupron last Saturday. I go in bright and early tomorrow morning for my "IVF Start" appointment for my baseline U/S, labs and to get my medication schedule. AF came this AM so I'm seriously dreading the U/S but excited to start stims and really get this process started!!
QOTD - My dad was a Marine in Vietnam. He volunteered at 17 when his 3 older brothers were drafted. He said he couldn't live with himself if he stayed home while they were over there fighting. Fortunatetly, all 4 brothers made it home. But, when I was 9, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer due to agent orange poisoning from Vietnam. He put up a great fight but finally lost his battle 4 years later. He left the service once he made it home from Vietnam so I never really knew that side of him. Yes, he is an American hero like all others that serve but really I think he is just my "personal hero" because he was a wonderful father. The bravery I witnessed was him baiting my hook while fishing, comforting me after a bad dream or checking my closet for monsters!!
QOTD #2 - What should next Monday's QOTD be?!??
Hey ladies!!
I'm still on Estrace three times a day and my last Lupron injection will be on Thursday! Woohoo! Will be starting PIO, Medrol and Doxy on Friday. Had my last monitoring appt today and my lining looked great at 10! So I got the green light to continue on calendar and plan on transferring next Wednesday!!!! So excited, and hoping this will be the one!
