stage 1 and stage 2 solids

Is there a difference between the Gerber stage 1 and 2 fruits and veggies other than portion sizes? TIA!

Re: stage 1 and stage 2 solids

  • There is more variety in the stage 2 and they start putting two foods together.

No, not really. Some of the ones that have meat seem a bit thicker, but the regular veggies and fruit combos are about the same.

The main difference is that the portion is a little bigger and there are combinations and more choices. It may be a little thicker but not noticeably so.

  • Yes, stage 2 has larger chunks of food in it, as opposed to puree.  I tried a jar of pears and green beans, and there were actual chunks of green beans in it.  I was afraid LO would choke, so I'm sticking with stage 1 for right now.
