Progesterone Question

Hi ladies,

I had IUI #3 11 days ago. I've been on Progesterone suppositories ever since. I've heard that the suppositories can delay AF. Is that the case? My luteal phase is usually only 10 days, but I have not seen AF yet. I go in for beta on Friday. Of course I thought I was feeling pregnancy symptoms, but now I have read that Progesterone can mimick AF and pregnancy symptoms so I'm not feeling too optimistic. Anyway, should I expect to see AF while on Progesterone if I'm not pregnant, or will she wait to show until after I stop?

 Thanks!

The symptoms will drive you nuts!! I think most people will get AF if the cycle is a BFN despite being on progesterone; I always did. Good luck!

Progesterone will keep AF away and also the s/e mimic early pregnancy symptoms. It definitely messes with your mind. Good luck this cycle!!!

I would get AF the day after I stopped P4, so either after I tested and got a BFN or after a neg beta.

Sometimes it will delay AF. For me if it did it was only by a day or two. Im currently on PS and Im constantly tired. Hate that the side effect mimic pregnancy. FX for you this Fri.

Ditto pp, it can help lengthen your lp and gives you glorious fake pg symptoms. Argh.

Here's hoping you've got something growing in there!

I think it's safe to say that is affects everyone differently. The two times I was on PS for IVF it never delayed AF and I never had pregnancy symptoms.

After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

With me, I always had to stop prog before I would get af, and it would come a couple days later.  Prog is supposed to stop Af, but I suppose at a lower dose it might not, as I know some people get AF despite using progesterone.
