This is a vanity post *Vent*

I am totally happy to be pregnant with #2.  But I feel a little sad that I didn't work a little harder to get my body completely back to normal after DD.  I still have that lovely postpartum pooch with the jiggly skin and I'm definitely not at my goal weight. Guess I'm just kind of venting about how annoyed at am with myself.  Carry on lol

  • Oh I am so glad I'm not the only one! I have been really worried because with my son I gained a LOT, like 60 lbs haha I lost it all and was in great shape but I gained a bit again with my second pregnancy and it's still on my tummy. I am not stoked but just hoping my bump pops before 14 weeks so it doesn't stay just fat for long haha

  • I feel the same way. I had just started a good gym routine and getting back in shape. I keep thinking about how much harder it is going to be after this LO is here.
  • Oh honey. I am with you. Well except my DD is 4.  My weight is up and down all the time!!

We started TTC in October and every month it was 10 lbs. 10 lbs.. 10 lbs.

It never happened. Ugh so here I am 14 lbs away from where I wanted to be.

  • Oh I hear ya--this was on my list of things that I was a bit upset about when I found out I was pregnant with #3. I did a decent job of losing all but about 5 pounds between 1 and 2, but I'm still holding on to about 20 lbs from #2 and my stomach is definitely a sad sight.

Don't worry to much about it though--nothing we can do about it now, and can just try hard and be healthy with this baby. I'm going to really try and keep exercising and eating right (except for my crazy steak sandwich earlier, haha) to try and keep the gain this time to a minimum.

Will baby #3 be another girl?

I'm so with you!  I'm definitely in better shape but just not where I wanted to be.  With the bloat I look about 4 or 5 months pregnant already.  People were asking me how far I am at the store yesterday lol.  MORTIFYING

  • Right there with ya. Actually, I have lost a lot of weight recently (about 15 lbs) and I have been fitting nicely into clothes I haven't been able to put on in awhile, but I still have a serious jiggly tummy. I'm going to try to keep working out as long as I can and hopefully be more fit this pregnancy than I have in the past.

This is me. I had just gotten back into my tiny tiny jeans. Three weeks later I got my BFP. I'm not complaining just saying.
  • Last time I was put on bed rest through my entire first tri and gained quite a bit due to that.  I went for walks here and there but it wasn't much of a fitness routine.  I'm oping the same thing doesn't happen this time and I can be in really good shape for labor.

I have considered this end of the spectrum.  I'm sure I would be super frustrated too.

  • I completely understand. I had a "I hate my body" night the other night and I've been kicking myself that I didn't try harder to lose the rest of my baby weight from DD. But I figure I'll just try to be healthy and exercise through this pregnancy if I can and then try extra hard once this baby comes!

  • I've lost 20 pounds in the last few months.  I'm glad to have lost it before getting pregnant...but I am sort of bummed that my progress will be lost.  But I know I can do it...so I'll just do it again in 2014.

I was feeling so upset this morning because I am so bloated that I feel so big. With my 1st pregnancy and loss, I didn't have the motivation to diet. Now I am pregnant again without toning up or loosing the 10lbs I gained with DS and felt huge this morning.  I keep telling myself that it is a blessing to be pregnant and the bloat will get better soon.

  • Oh yeah I'm right with you all.  I still have about 15 lbs left from being pregnant with DS (and I was 15 lbs overweight when I got pregnant with him).  I was going to start really working out again this summer, every time I did more than walk my supply (breastfeeding) tanked.  For me it was more important to make sure DS was getting what he needed from me then for me to lose the weight.  Darn.

    I'm with ya on this.

I lost all of my baby weight, got back into my favorite pre-marriage/baby jeans, did 2 months of "Brazil Butt Lift," and had almost finished my first month of "Insanity" with DH. I was about to sign up to run my first 5K this fall. :

  • I get it. That makes perfect sense to me.

  • I can relate. I'm still about 10-15 lbs above where I was before I got pregnant with DS.  Honestly though, we plan to have three kids close in age (God willing), so I think I will worry about working out hard once I'm done birthing and nursing babies.  For these few years I'm just accepting my weight isn't going to be where I want it, and hopefully I will find some major motivation in the future.  It's worth it!

  • I feel your pain. I'm going to have to work my azz off after this LO to get back to where I want to be.

  • starting late February (give the C sectioners a chance to recover), we should all set a goal to lose all of the baby weight by a certain time and have a work out check in to hold ourselves accountable....hopefully I will be running around like a nut with two kids that I won't have time to think about eating terrible food that is easily accessible...

    Just a thought!
