I'm a boob-juice rock star huh? Can I get a bump badge for that? haha! Still going strong and don't plan on stopping anytime soon either. Way to go May Mommas!
Now that I'm back to work, we're down to a few times a day, but we'll probably continue for a while yet. We'll just take it as it comes...no definite plan for weaning. She still seems happy and it's zero inconvenience for me. We were lucky and didn't have any of the issues that other moms seemed to have (other than having to use a nipple shield for 5 months... which still seemed easier than using bottles) I hope that if I have more children we will be so lucky.
Thanks! The only reason I started weaning a bit was to bring back my period so we could ttc, since that happened I'm not as stressed about weaning at a specific time.
we're down to just once in the mornings, even on weekends. I packed the pump away this weekend, it was a very strange feeling to push it into a closet, even though I gave it up 2 weeks ago. Supplementing with a mixture of WCM and formula these days.
C is 12.5 months and we're still at it. I just nurse her twice a day now and the rest of the time, she drinks WCM. I had borrowed a pump from a friend and I actually cleaned out the bag and gave it back yesterday. I agree, it was a weird feeling but I am super happy that I'm not pumping anymore. That part was no fun!
Made it to 1 year of EP'ing, with that bit of formula supplementation while my supply caught up at the beginning. Weaning off now, expect to be done this week; down to one pump every 48 hours. 13 months is pretty good. I felt tons of guilt over not feeding at the breast and over not going for extended pumping, but I was having trouble keeping up at the end and it was harder and harder to fit it all in. Now that I'm nearly done, I don't feel as sad or unhappy as I did even a month ago. I think I did ok. Not what I originally envisioned, but she thrived on my milk for a year, which is what I hoped for.
