Mobile: Surprise, surprise...guess who showed up?

Good 'ole AF made an appearance last night. It's been over a year and I didn't miss her one bit. I was hoping to have a bit more time since I'm EBF, but J has been going long stretches at night.  Sigh, I should have expected this since my mom said hers returned fairly quickly. 

J turns 5mo on the 28th. How is everyone else stacking up on the return of AF? 

TTC Since 3/2010
Me-36, Unexplained Infertility, DH-35, all clear
Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Still no AF for me. I'm hoping EBFing keeps her away! I had a minor breakout which hasn't happened in months and I'm really hoping its not AF trying to show up!

    We are EBF and I still got it at 7 weeks pp!!!! Argh!!!

    Five months is still really early though so even though I am a bit jealous I still feel for you.... I was really hoping to go closer to a year without it!

    Oh and just an fyi....I always get a drop in my supply when AF arrives.  It has never been bad enough to need to supplement but I am noticeably less full.  Everything goes back to normal after it ends. I have some mothers milk tea on hand and I also use it as an excuse to make lactation cookies!!!

    Consider yourself lucky... I EBF for a year but AF returned when DS was 8 or 9 weeks old. Then when I finally weaned and went back to the RE I discovered I wasn't even ovulating so I had AF like clockwork all that time but still had to coax my body back in gear to cycle again.

    I am not BFing anymore and AF came last week, 8 weeks PP. Between SCH bleeding during pregnancy and PP bleeding, it was almost like she never left, ugh. She also lasted a little over a week, good grief! The cramping was much less than usual, so that was nice at least!
    Me: 30, DH: 30
    ~*~Married 8/31/08~*~

    DX: MFI due to Chemo/Stem Cell Transplant for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. RE said IVF is best option with DH's frozen boys.
    IVF #1 April 2012: Menopur and Bravelle; 1 egg retrieved, 0 fertilized. Boo.
    IVF #2 August 2012: Gonal-F 300, Menopur 300. Beta #1 9/6: 382... BFPx2!

    Almost 11weeks pp here and no AF yet. Max time between feeds is still only 6h for me though.

    Guess I'm the lucky one (hope this doesn't jinx it). EBF and 6.5 m pp, still no AF yet.
    TTC since 10/2008  RE consult 6/2010 Dx:Unexplaied IF

    Failed multiple cycles of Clomid+TI and Clomid+IUI

    3/2011 inj+IUI #1 BFP. 4/2011 missed m/c. 

    Fall 2011 inj+IUI #2&3 BFN

    Jan/Feb 2012 IVF#1 BFP 2/23  EDD 10/31/2012 ~~~ Halloween ~~~

    As soon as I weaned both of my kids two weeks later AF was back to her usual self.  So, about 6 months after DD was born and about 7 months after DS was born, but I wasn't breastfeeding anymore when she came back.

    I'll trade you! We're 10 m EBF and still no AF. Makes TTC pretty hard.

    Thank you so much for this feedback! Omg, my supply dipped and I thought I was dehydrated. I have been pounding water and peeing like I was pregnant! I will increase my beer intake until I can get some tea.  you are the best!

    I didn't have the supply to EBF, but I still pumped/nursed every time they ate. She showed her ugly head around 12w pp. The day before, DH said he was really worried about me because my mood had taken a rapid plunge toward the dark side. But, the second she arrived- I was a happy girl again (well, not completely. I was still really p*ssed off to see her so early!). I just finished weaning and she's now getting back to normal. 

    Oh, and I second the supply drop! It actually really helped with weaning, as I was able to cope with the engorgement with a little less pain.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    I had to supplement DD#3 and still didn't get AF at 9 months pp, so the RE prescribed Provera to jump start things for my upcoming FET.  This has been the one time I actually wanted to have AF :)  After DDs1 and 2, I got AF around 7 months.  I have never been able to EBF, but continued nursing/pumping several months after AF returned for the first two.  This time I completely weaned DD and still didn't have it.  Not sure what's up with me, but goes to show that every pregnancy is different!


    Me – 33 (no diagnosis), DH – 41 (MFI)

    IVF #1/ICSI 2008 – 22 ER, 21 F, Day 3 transfer (8A and 8B) - BFP, 3 Frosties

    Surprise BFP 2010

    Surprise BFP 2011

    Shipped frosties from TX to VA in 2012

    FET #1 May 2013, single blast – BFN

    FET #2 August 2013 2 blasts – BFN

    IVF #2/ICSI/AH Jan 2014 – 8 ER, 7M, 6 F Day 3 transfer (grade 2 & 3), no frosties - BFP!

    I am EBF and 5 1/2 months pp and no AF yet. I think she is coming soon though.. I keep getting cramps. Ugh!
