i was just on amazon and accidentally clicked something and ended up on a page w/ a bunch of 'cards against humanity' sets... they have like 700-1000+ reviews and 5 stars...what is this game? They compare it to apples to apples but better... I love games & would love to start having some game nights w/ friends (adults, not kids), I have never heard of this game, would it be good?
Re: cards against humanity game?
I've never played but two of my coworkers LOVE this game. Best part is it's actually free if you don't mind doing a little work. You can print the cards off yourself at https://cardsagainsthumanity.com/
From what my coworkers tell me and what I've seen as examples on the website, you need to be very open minded and not easily insulted/disgusted/embarrassed.
LOL. So definitely have to pick your game night friends carefully I guess...the not so offended, good sense of humor types?
Yup. We have had a ton of fun playing it, but there are some friends we wouldn't. Also, I wouldn't play it with my parents.
I'm a lurker but needed to respond. You really need to know your crowd to play this game. It's basically about who is the most awful person. My friends have fun playing it, but we've also all known each other since high school. A similar 'party' game which can be fun and not necessarily inappropriate right out of the box is "the game of things".
I've played it a couple of times with very close friends. All of my friends in this group are quite open minded. We take everything with a grain of salt.
It's certainly not a family game, but can be lots of fun with adults.
