lo refusing to have diaper changed

Is she just showing her independence? She just turned 2 and now throws some tantrum when its time for a diaper change. She will have a diaper full of poop and want to sit in it and play rather then get changed. I now have to carry her in like a baby and hold her feet down while she's screaming bloody murder in order to change her. Anyone go through this?

    Yep.  Still going through it.  Sorry, I have no advice, but I share in this delightful toddler behavior as well!  :)

    It's a stage.  For the past 4-6 months my son has refused to lay down to be changed.  We have mastered changing him standing up.  He is much more cooperative this way.

    Same thing here. We try to use bribery and distraction to get him to sit still.

    When we are out, for months now, she won't put her butt anywhere near a changing table, so I change her standing up too.
