CD moms, a couple questions

I use one size diapers for Sean. I notice, now that he's crawling, rub marks on the insides of his thighs. I'm guessing it would be from the lowest row of snaps. We have it on the second row (the rise). Any idea what might help this?  Should I try to loosen the diaper?  Baby legs don't stay up, and pants seem to make it worse. 

Swim diapers. I bought an XL of some brand of CD, and they barely fit around his thighs. I couldn't snap all the side snaps. Could I just put him in an unstuffed pocket to swim?

    I don't have answers to the rest, but we use an unstuffed pocket for swimming. We use a Fuzzibunz because I didn't like them, and once you use it for pool swimming, you can't use it as a diaper.
    Good to know!  I guess the ugly brown one will be the designated swim diaper ;)

    They sell snap covers that you can put on those exposed snaps. We've never really bothered. They don't seem to upset either one of the boys.
    Off to search for snap covers. Thank you!  He doesn't seem bothered, but one spot is so raw it looks ready to bleed. Thanks again.

    We have all aplix so I can't help on the snaps, but I also bought a couple 5.99 Alva covers to use for swim dipes. I've heard it's the chlorine that will ruin em quickly!

    I think it depends on the types of diapers and how they each fit. Kawaii diapers rub horribly on Jack, as an example.

    We haven't tried using an unstuffed pocket diaper on Jack for swimming, but I do have an Imse Vimse swim diaper for him, and an iPlay swim diaper. I MUCH prefer the Imse Vimse. The iPlay wouldn't fit on his thighs as you are describing.

     

    I looked up the Imse Vimse. The leg openings look much larger than what we have (a My Swim Baby). I think I will try one of those. Thanks! :)
